So, I want to create my own personal server, so I can try out some ships, but I have a problem.
When I launch flserver, everything loads just fine, but when I try to connect to my server, it just says: "...The requested operation is taking longer than expected..." and does not connect.
Also, the FLHook console reports: "ERROR: Time lag detected seconds=2,266135 ticks_delta=7524319". Server load is 0, and goes up to 150 whenI try to connect.

Any idea what is wrong?

I guess you didn't forwarded 2302:UDP.
also don't forget to take a look on your firewall if it still cries around that you cannot connect after forwarding the ports.
You can connect without forwarding the ports as well, then it's a lan server. But connecting is a real pain this way, I've tried it. You have to refresh the server page in FL so long until you get anything different then your MAC address as server address. EG: you have "My disco server: fe98:5435:2523:3242: NO" it should look like :
"My disco server: 76.67.555.555: NO" <- your IP. <- dis after forwarding ports

You can find your IP here -> http://www.whatismyip.com/

Without forwarding port it should be the internal address , e.g. : 192.168.1.1 (last digit can vary)
