I won't be wanting a cap ship anytime soon, don't worry. It's not Ed's style, and I haven't dreamt up any other characters for myself yet.
I had actually seen this mod ages ago, but I though "ergh, RP". Recently, I decided to try it. It's fun.:)
I have no idea about what Faction is for Ed (he's a very lawful trader, but not much of a combatant - too nervous), or what these Events are (I would hazard a guess that they're inter-faction things).

Aye, Welcome to the new server,
and try one of the trader factions, and what trader faction depends on where you character is based about, and where he comes from, but in my opinion just find a faction who helps people get started, gc was mine but thats cause i kinda liked gc and the dragons anyway:P
Rp is good fun when done correctly and kept into rp,
remember to respect other people and dont brake the rules

There are alot of events, like this one for ecample, Starflea army Vs. a BS, and well another BS that showed up randomly.

It is a good start as it maps out your character, so you yourself know where you are heading with the character.
If you like writing however, I would suggest reading other stories on the forum and seeing how they are written, how detailed they are and some of the plot-lines as they can be inspiring and prove to be a source for ideas. However, writing stories is not a prerequisite to playing the game.
