Originally founded in 411AS by a group of Cambridge researchers with a plan to develop under utilizable planets.Chartered in 500 A.S. under a Bretonian Royal Charter. The group of Cambridge researchers joined with a group of California consultants and were given a challenge: Transform a planet from a cold, desert locale with a limited carbon dioxide atmosphere into an agricultural planet-within 400 years. Planetform was born. The company grew very slowly, dependent on the largess of the Bretonian Government for most of it's money. Planetform had few enemies until 67 years ago, when the radical eco-terrorist group the Gaians formed within the research environments of Edinburgh's Gaia Planet and Cambridge University. The Groups amateurish efforts soon matured into a serious threat to Planetform operations throughout Bretonian space.Planetform began manufacturing Xenobiotic Filters in 815 A.S., which are essential in creating stations. Due to the recent war with Kusari, and the current war with Gallia, Planetform has taken severe economical hits with the loss of Planet Harris and Planet Ayr, as well as Perth Station leaving Planetform much weaker than it used to be, and many believed it to be on the verge of collapse. Many employees in their bretonian projects left with their understandings that their wages may not be paid.
Early in 819 A.S., Stephan Littlebury took over control of the company and is now attempting to rebuild the corporate strength that Planetform once held.Three years later in 822 A.S. Clarissa Carrington replaced Littlebury as the CEO of planetform. Littlebury hadn’t pushed in his role of CEO and Planetform had continued it’s stagnated progress. Carrington is highly motivated and wants to push planetform beyond where it’s been previously. A number of deals were dealt in her first few days with a number of corporations and prominent individuals. Sole use of Bretonian ships had been secured as a matter of principle to better support the crumbling economy and a number of new university graduates were employed helping to keep a stream of fresh blood and fresh ideas into the company. With a shifting of focus from the outer regions back towards Bretonia and the houses a number of prospective projects were cancelled and their funds rerouted. New deals were sought to improve the desire of Planetforms Xenobiotic filters in a bid to bring in more funds.
With new ideas, more money, new people and new technological advances Carrington plans to pull Planetfrom back from the brink and to a place to support the crown of Bretonia better.

Planet Harris
Previously a barren world, Harris was the object of one of the first large-scale terraforming efforts by Planetform, Inc. Initiated in 450 AS, the project was made easier by the abundance of pure Water and Oxygen ice in the system, while Terraforming Gases were easily transported by Bowex from the Stokes Mining Station in nearby Leeds. Planet Harris was originally scheduled to finish colonization in the current year, 820 A.S., but repeated Gaian . Harris has had surrounding space ringed with a minefield and is heavily defended due to this, and has defense forces at all times. From 817-818 A.S., it was isolated from Bretonian forces by the Kusari Naval Forces, and was resupplied only in 819 A.S. Since 820 A.S., it has been isolated again, this time by the Gallic Royal Navy. The minefield surrounding it has gotten thicker, and the Bretonians still desperately defend it. With all the delays by the isolation and lack of supplies the estimated completion date has slipped to beyond the current decade.
Canterbury Station
Canterbury Station houses the headquarters for Planetform, Inc., a pioneer in transforming uninhabitable or marginally habitable planets into terrestrial worlds. With the sparseness of arable planets outside of the core systems claimed by Liberty, Planetform, Inc. has been conducting a considerable amount of business in Bretonia and elsewhere. However, its operations have recently come under attack by Gaian eco-terrorists, and by necessity security guidelines have grown more stringent.
Planet California Minor
First surveyed when the California system was opened up for exploration, California Minor is a small, icy world with a barely breathable atmosphere. It has always been considered unsuitable for conventional terraforming ever since the initial survey landings, largely due to the frigid surface conditions and overall distance from the sun, although the surveys did detect unusual geothermic readings deep below the planet's crust.In 741 A.S., Planetform devised a method to channel the planet's enormous subterranean stores of geothermic energy, releasing greenhouse gases and introducing alien organisms into the atmosphere to speed up the terraforming process. Planetform estimates that the terraforming process will likely be completed and the planet will be open for colonization around the year 826 A.S. Despite the harsh planetary conditions, the increasing availability of jobs on the planet has attracted large numbers of manual laborers, particularly from the Colorado system, and California Minor's population is estimated to be just over 8 million at present.California Minor has been the site of two major battles, the first taking place in 814 A.S. and the second taking place in 817 A.S., three years later. Despite the two battles terraforming of California Minor continued un-abated and still looked on track for full colonisation in 826 A.S.
Cold Bay
Built in 816AS in orbit of Atka, was the starting point for the project with the Liberty Government to teraform Planet Atka. This project is currently on hold with Libertonian wars in the area. As such Planetform had to re-assign the base to produce Xenobiotic filtersProduces Xenobiotic filters: Xenobiotic filters consist of nanotube matrices implanted with the bacterial organism indigenous to Planet Atka. They are sold as efficient and highly effective filtration systems for space stations, industrial facilities, spacecraft life support systems, and air, water and soil purification systems in both space based biodomes and planetside agricultural operations. Any operation where humans, animals, or plants require purified air, soil, or water are viable markets for xenobiotic filters.
Methyr-Tydfill Mining Station
Although Methyr-Tydfill was setup late in 816 A.S. to begin Beryllium extraction from the nearby planet Studland, the settling of the Torfaen Asteroid Field in the system gave the station a new role. Harvesting various Terraforming Gases locked in the icy asteroids proved less expensive to initiate, while offering a bigger profit margin, despite Gaian, Corsair and Molly raids against the miners and station. BMM sold the station to Planetform, and used the funds from that sale to establish a less expensive Beryllium mining operation in the Cambridge system instead. Planetform use the base for mining of Flourine. The fluorine is either shipped to other Planetform bases to be used as a part of terraforming gases or it is sold for it’s various other uses. The most widespread uses of inorganic Fluoride are steel manufacturing and aluminium refining. Organic Fluorine compounds tend to have high chemical and thermal stability, making them useful as refrigerants. Elemental Fluorine can be used in the production of nuclear fuels, and is also used in terraforming gas mixtures.
Perth Station
Perth Station, built 752 A.S., was used by Planetform Inc. as a base to run the terraforming of the planet Ayr. The station was abandoned when the Gallic Navy invaded Edinburgh, as the Bretonian Navy withdrew. Now occupied by the Gallic Navy, the station has been pushed into the role of frontline supply depot.
Planet Ayr: Ayr is an arid world with a thin atmosphere but an active volcanic system beneath its crust. Initial surveys showed that a considerable amount of water vapor, CO2, and other greenhouse gases remain locked in the polar ice caps, making Ayr a prime target for terraforming. Planetform, Inc. initiated first stage terraforming in 752 A.S. but the operation has come to an abrupt halt as Gallic Navy forces invaded the system. Predicted to have been ready in 900 A.S. but after the invasion of the GRN the project is on hold and the planet is slowly reverting.

Project Artemis
A top secret project being undertaken on canterbury station. Started by carrington herself in 820 the project intended to create an orbital terraforming platform, capable of directly stimulating activity in a planet's core. Essential for the creation of stable non-depleting biospheres, which would not only revolutionise the terraforming process, but cut costs and time by more than half in the process.
Should it come to fruition it will give Planetform the power to directly and immediately affect the stability of entire worlds atmospheres. Granting her greater prestige and access to much more resources to further her technological charge into the future.
Planet Harris
Started in 450 AS. Originally stated for completion in 820 AS. the terraforming timeline has been held up by attacks from Gaians in the later half of the 8th century and first decade of the 9th century. Further delayed by the Tau War between Bretonia and Kusari and then the Gallic invasion. With the Gallic invasion a lot of the funding from the Bretonian Government was reduced and income from other sources for Planetform had to be sources. Prior to the appointment of Clarissa Carrington as CEO in 822 AS Planetform estimated an earliest full colonisation date was still a decade off provided tech levels, funding and supply levels stayed consistent. Following the appointment of Clarissa Carrington and the raft of changes she has implemented Planetform hope with the improved technology they have access to from Liberty, the more frequent supply runs and their ability to import higher quality components due to their new levels of funds that they can bring Planet Harris to a ready point within the next few years.
Planet California Minor
Slated to be ready in just 4 years time the new board of Planetform is at a crossroads. With the new CEO’s plan to bring Planetform back to a strong corporation of proud Bretonian heritage the company must now decide if they are going to let the development of California Minor run it’s current course and therefore push their new technological advances help in pushing the development of Planet Harris along; or are they wanting to try and bring the completion date of California Minor forward by deploying their new technologies here first in an attempt to complete this project earlier in an attempt to gain possible lucrative financial contracts.
Planet Ayr
Permanantly on hold until they are able to get their hands back on Perth Station from the Gallic Royal Navy. With their push to support the Bretonian Crown the board have effectively closed the planning group that was looking into the possibilities of joining Gallia and terraforming planets for the Gallic Crown
Planet Atka/Cold Bay’s Xenobiotic Filters
With the situation between Liberty and their enemies not yet at a point of stability the project to terraform Atka is currently being held at Pre-Phase 1 levels pending re-evaluation by the Liberty Government. Planetform though are thankful to the Liberty Government for helping turn parts of orbiting Cold Bay Station to a manufacturing unit producing Xenobiotic Filters, made with bacteria that surround thermal vents deep below the seas and pack-ice upon Planet Atka. Through the manufacturing and continual development of these filters Planetform is hopeful that they would help solidify their position in the development of inhabitable stations and planets.
Flourine Mining
Planetform’s newest base, Methyr-Tydfill, is a staging point for the distribution of Flourine around Sirius. The uses of Flourine are varied and Planetform either ships them Planetform bases to be used as a part of terraforming gases (to which most of the gases are shipped to Planet California Minor) or it is sold for it’s various other uses. The most widespread uses of inorganic Fluoride are steel manufacturing and aluminium refining. Alien Organism Harvesting
A small area of planetform’s operations consist of the harvesting of Alien Organisms directly for the corporation. The operations are small due to the dangerous locations in which the organisms are found. Due to this high threat the previous board of Planetform, for financial reasons, issued isolation orders restricting the mining by the corporation and instead bought the organisms from those more willing to harvest them. With the change of the CEO and a number of board members, combined with new information concerning the locations of these organisms Planetform have expanded their harvesting operations and the board hopes this helps reduce costs and helps them then redirect funding to their other projects. (mining fields are: Baffin: G/H 5 3u/rock, This is rated the safest option due to proximity to Zoner bases and distance to Bretonia. Sigma 19: E/F 3 6.25u/rock, rumors are this location is near a jumphole to Outcast home systems. Omicron Theta: E3 5u/rock and F/G3/4 4.75u/rock, it’s proximity to the zoner base of Freeport 9 is pleasing but the distance to bretonia and the proximity to Corsair space is un-nerving at times)
Recruitment
Recruits to Planetform are not required to already own a ship and will be given a FREE percheron light transport as their starting ship.
Planetform Capital 5 Foundation
The Cap 5 foundation is a faction requirement which new players are inducted into. It grants the new member a small loan in order to purchase a capital 5 armour upgrade for their vessel, (the minimal accepted level of protection for any transport vessel under the Planetform tag). the loan is 0% interest and 0 pressure and can be paid off whenever the member has time to do so, however the sooner the money is put back the more help the faction bank can be to new members wanting to join
