SENDER ID: FRANK HATCHER, AP MANUFACTURING
LOCATION: ALABAMA SHIPYARD, OMICRON RHO
PRIORITY: HIGH
ENCRYPTION: HIGH

Evening, everyone.

I am sure you are all aware of the incident that occurred just last week in the Oreor Dust Field. Preliminary investigations by our damage inspection crews show that the Percheron transport, fitted with the latest in armor technology, suffered a hull breach within its first and third cargo holds due to collisions with asteroids of all sizes whilst cruising in the field, leaking out roughly 1,800 engine components which were to be used in maintaining our warships. Because of this incident, CD-187 Thresh Prince and three Bottlenose gunships have been put out of action for the next week whilst we dispatch another wing of transports to retrieve more parts.

It has occurred to me that the current model Percheron in use by APM and Core shippers is inadequate for use in hostile environments, as two other transports this year have turned up at Alabama Shipyard with hull breaches in the cargo holds, even with iridium struts in all three bays and heavy armor plating.

The design itself is not particularly suited for operation in dense, deep space asteroid fields, having been intended to be flown in house space. Our research team has concluded that the long curves, in combination with exposed engine struts and cargo hold, make it unsuitable for use by our shippers in general. Instead, they propose that we use a vessel with similar hull shape to the GMG's Kamome transport:

Acquiring large stocks of Kamomes to replace our entire fleet of Percherons would be extremely costly, therefore our designers have come upon a design which we already have in our stocks:

We have been allotted, then, one old model Orca gunship hull, devoid of most systems and equipped with old hull panels. Our goal is to upgrade it under the moniker "Transport Asteroid Survivability Kit", which would transfer the inner workings of a Percheron into a more suitable hull shape. Our construction teams are ready with a basic idea of what we need, therefore all we need now are people to deliver the required materials. The list of materials required is below and is divided up into different sections:

Reinforced Hull Plating:
500 units of Tungsten
500 units of Iridium
500 units of High Temperature Alloys
250 units of Super Alloys
100 units of Industrial Materials
1000 units of Ablative Armor Plating
1000 units of Ship Hull Panels

Strengthened Bow:
100 units of Tungsten
50 units of Iridium
10 units of High Temperature Alloys
5 units of Super Alloys
20 Ship Hull Panels

Iridium Cargo Bay Struts:
150 units of Iridium
150 units of Super Alloys
150 units of Tungsten

Common Remotely-Operated Weapon System (CROWS) Uplink:
50 Nanocapacitors
50 Bio-Neural Processors
10 Quantum Multiplexors
10 units of Aluminium
5 units of Industrial Materials

Targeting systems, engines, reactor, and radar will be provided by a third party. We expect it to have similar performance to the Percheron, although with a much more fitting hull shape for Omicron environments.
