In an unprecedented move, following months of debates around Omicron Supply Industries' exceptional request to the Sirius Identification Commission, the SIC has released a statement which paves the way for a solution to the Order-Zoner hostility debacle, which originated from a Freeport 11 incident involving The Order and the Temporary Autonomous Zoners.
In a few hours, a global transponder update will be released by the SIC and vessels belonging to the Temporary Autonomous Zoners will cease to appear as Zoner vessels. Instead, these vessels will now bear a TAZ identification.
An excerpt from John McSilver's statement, President of the SIC:
Many civilians on the freeports have expressed their relief, praising the SIC's decision, whom rarely involves itself in matters of this magnitude.
A statement from The Order and the TAZ is certainly to be expected.

Quote:The Zoners have always been a tricky issue for the SIC. You have a group of people with various goals and interests, some that are the opposite of one another, and you are all supposed to fit under the same category. Most of the time, Zoner issues boil down to a few specific individuals and the Freeports usually solve these issues themselves pretty quickly.
This situation has escalated beyond any before. As the TAZ has for a very long time voiced their distance from the rest of the Zoner community, hence the Autonomous, our board has approved the unprecedented measure of splitting TAZ transponders from the rest of the Zoner community. No group whatsoever should ever be able to put billions of people in danger. This is what led us to take action, which is probably never going to happen again.
