this is just a suggestion but i to prob make life of battleship pilots easier is to increase the cruise speed to a little over the speed of a trade lane so that they dont have to travel through them because its just SOO annoying when you get stuck in a trade lane!!!!
Cruise speed can only be increased for all ships at once. There's no way I'm doing this.
well can you at least try to fix the problem with large ships getting stuck in trade lanes ?maybe inputing the ghost tradelane mod with discovery??
Battleships are not intended for use in trade lanes. They were military and for slowly patrolling for problems. You never see NPC Battleships, Cruisers or Gunboats in trade lanes.
Trade lanes where made for comercial uses- freighters and smaller ships. The largest NPC ships you see in trade lanes are Transports, Trains, and Large Trains.
Asteroid Miners and Liners, such as Prison and Luxery, are the other BIG ships and they weren't meant for trade lanes either. The NPC ships are usually stationary.
The key with a battleship is just to either dock from a ways out, or align yourself perfectly in teh center using strafing up, down, left, right, and finally, if you get stuck, or before you do, you need to hit "x" to go backwards.
