Just a small thought. Might help with them being a bit more useful. What harm would there be in removing the limit?
have 20 snubs undock from single cap

p much
Some ships have normal and big slots for docking modules. I suppose the bigger dms were to carry more ships, or bigger ones.

Dunno about no limits, but perhaps 2 or 4 ships for each module could be doable.
All of this of course barring the whole "it doesn't work right now" issue
+1 for this. But... They need to be working again Smile
Bad idea. Carriers and Shires would be equally useful as motherships, which would be... Wot. Better solution is to give them additional functionality that scales - so the more you have, the more effective that functionality becomes.
Maybe leave the normal modules to one per ship. Change the modules for BS class so they can mount heavies. Allow heavies to carry 2-3 ships.
Give battleships 2 heavy slots and carriers 3-5.

You need neither motherships not strike craft when you have Shires.

Jokes aside, I like Skorak's idea.
heavy slots were intended to be able to have snubs and gunboats in them
