Heritage of the word 'Katana'

The Katana [kah-tah-nah] or daitō (category) is a single-edged very dangerous sword
usually known to be utilized by samurai mostly during the Muromachi period of Japanese Earth history.
The Katana was typically paired with the wakizashi or shōtō (category), a similar made but small sword, or a tantō, an even smaller blade.
The two weapons together were called the daishō (daitō + shōtō), and represented the social power and personal honour of the samurai.
The forging of a Katana typically took hours, days, or even weeks and was considered a sacred art.

Katana wing absorbed by [KNF] and reviewed

The Kusari Naval Forces Katana Wing was introduced for the first time by Commodore Relden Mori as a defensive wing to help keep Kusari Space safe.
With the retirement of Commodore Relden Mori and the recently developed Kusari bomber,
the Katana Wing was absorbed by [KNF] and reviewed by Taishō Hikaru Sulu to became an elite well-trained, fast and deadly anti capital ship wing.
Pilots in the [KNF-K] are strictly selected, subject to a very intense training and receive their medal directly from the Emperor himself.
They are feared amongst Kusari enemies and praised by Kusari citizens as a living legend.

Bomber class ships use by standard [KNF] pilots is no longer available, an application to [KNF-K] is now required.
A fighter class ship must be available for use if needed.
