Like the title says, I was thinking about the speed our ships perform barrel rolls.

Since there is no resistance in space, why is the barrel roll so slow?

Would it give an advatage in pvp for those who use cockpit view?

I recently messed a bit with with the shiparch.ini and tried with increasing the 3rd part of the steering torque, wich is the speed of the barrel roll.

And it works, just not on the server x)

Barrel roll is a maneuver.
But I know what you mean.

Still realism in this game isn't really a thing by far.

Also no fighters use the roll. And I don't want the caps to roll even more.

Well, depending on the design of some of the ships, it would actually be viable and sure as hell interesting.
The ships I can think of from the top of my head would be low, wide ships like the centurion or Raven's Talon
Or of course... pretty much all of the entire Core / BHG Shipline

I was only talking about increasing the Barrel roll for snubs.

And nobody does? well I would if it was a bit faster to do since I fly and pvp in cockpit view

Still, do you think it would be possible to make that happen?

Since nobody uses it, it wouldn't make much difference then if the roll for snubs is a bit faster.

It's my opinion at least.
