Paramilitary assets,

Extreme gravimetric readings have been detected in Sigma-19 over several hours. They have since stabilised, and upon investigation it appears an anomaly has been opened between Sigma-19 and Colorado, Liberty.

This presents both an opportunity and a security risk. Planet Pittsburgh is a major waypoint in the fuel trade, purchasing large quantities of helium-3 at a high price. Iejima Station is currently stockpiling a large amount of helium-3 in preparation for the exploitation of this shortcut to Liberty.

Unfortunately, this development has already raised a great deal of interest in the system, hostile and otherwise. As a result, all paramilitary assets fulfilling non-critical roles in Okinawa, Sigma-13 and Sigma-17 are to relocate to Sigma-19 and engage in area control manoeuvres immediately. Iejima Station and Gas Miner Ogashawa will house these ships.

Meanwhile, Liberty Police Incorporated has made contact on Guild channels. The Guild is currently considering its options.

Guildmembers,

Liberty Police, Incorporated ships up to a maximum size of bomber-class are temporarily permitted in Sigma-19. This is the only current exception.

Guildmaster Namura,

The 2nd Interceptor Division is happy to report a successful first few hours of operation around the Sigma-19/Colorado anomaly.

Karasus belonging to the 2nd Interceptors were among the first onscene at the site of the jump hole at roughly 18:30 UTC, and over the course of the next nine hours were able to maintain a 97% mission availability rate. In addition to providing a safe route for GMG and GMG-affiliated transports from Iejima Station to the jumphole, fighters from 2ID, stationed on Gas Miner Ogashawa, were also able to intercept 2 sorted artifact smugglers, a Corsair fighter that was pursued deep into Liberty, and a Junker pirate transport suspected of piracy against Guild affiliates, amongst other notable encounters.

We will continue to monitor the situation and remain on standby until the anomaly closes.

Guildmembers,

As quickly and mysteriously as this jumphole had appeared, it has closed. The paramilitary is to return to its routine stance, and the exception permitting LPI ships in Sigma-19 has been revoked.
