Keeper Raven,

I had hoped it would not come to this. Alas, I was wrong, and I have a request to make of you, and your people.

Four days ago, I alerted the Liberty Navy to the breach of Bretonian law in the Manchester system, specifically firing on your forces, a lawful entity in the laws of Bretonia. It appears the problems surrounding the traitorous Argosax run deeper than I had realised, and we, Bretonia, have offended the Republic by housing you and your forces. They offered us an ultimatum, of sorts. You, or them.

Thankfully I was able to consult with Her Majesty's Advisors, and members of my board, before a decision was made. Her Majesty suggested I offer to you both, as Bretonia has done in the past, to act as mediator in the cessation of hostilities. If you accept, myself and Prince James, Duke of Dundee, will invite representatives from You, Battlegroup Auxesia, and the Republic of Liberty, to convene on Planet New London to discuss the way forward in way of reparations, and forgiveness, of all parties involved. We, the representatives of Bretonia and the Crown, believe this to be the most beneficial way to resolve the issues at hand.

Unfortunately, I must ask something else of you, if you accept our offer of mediation. The Republic of Liberty is deeply distressed that a "stolen" Overlord class Dreadnaught is in the hands of another group, without their express permission. I implore you to offer any Republic technology back as a goodwill gesture, to kick start the negotiations. I'm sure we can find some kind agreement on compensation in our talks.

I hope you will accept this offer. Liberty has shown interest in this, I pray you find the same. Bretonia does not wish to loose either of you.

On Behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, and Her People in the Realm of Bretonia,

Michelle O'Brian, Admiral of the Fleet
First Sea Lord
Bretonian Command

Admiral O'Brian,

This isn't in any way surprising to us. We've been on the fence between The Kingdom and the Republic, and it was only a matter of time before they decided to approach the people whom we've aided and separate us.

Our actions with the Republic are not without consequence. Despite our best attempts to avoid conflict, they've repeatedly assaulted our vessels, even going so far as to collaborate with The Order against our forces during a routine patrol. They've destroyed civilian logistics vessels without reason, and prompted retaliation. We found ourselves stuck within the conflict between the Republic and Commonwealth Military forces with no means of avoiding the inevitable conflict that our position would bring. They were warned, repeatedly, that we were not interested in fighting them, but they pushed us, so we pushed back.

We did not ask to be put in our position. We did not want to be stuck where we are, but we played with the hand we were dealt.

Be that as it may - as my predecessor had told them in the past: If they asked nicely, we would have given it back to them.

However, we do not want to press this conflict any further. It's a drain on their resources, just as much as ours. The vessel in question is the Monument-Class Dreadnought christened the Cincinnati, formerly the ship of Commodore Maverick O'Howell of the Fifth Fleet. The vessel was obtained over a year prior. According to our records, the vessel and its crew were being escorted to Norfolk to be detained for insubordination. An organization identifying its self as the Aegis Initiative - An illusive and suspicious organization that has since become defunct, enacted an operation to rescue the crew with their vessel, separating it from its escort craft and leading it to the Omegas. Our relationship with the Initiative at the time was suspicious due to their unusual and unpredictable behavior. Being able to steal a dreadnought like they did was one feat we didn't anticipate.

In early April, when Auxesia reformed, the Initiative had become defunct, and turned over all assets to us, including the dreadnought. The vessel has since seen several refits for modernization, and if examined by any technician familiar with a Monument, wouldn't be the same as it was. The refits and upgrades were to modernize the aged warship, and make it compatible with our technology. Doing so, however, still came at a price, as we are unable to constantly sustain a vessel that we do not have components for, and limited shipyard access to maintain it. In fact, we've been debating on how to resolve this matter of inefficiency for some time. It seems you've done that for us.

Before the vessel and the escort craft - two BDR-804 Guardians - and the personal craft of one former Colonel Douglas Kovic, a BDR-845 Avenger, can be turned over, they'll need to be returned to their original status. The Arktos - Or Cincinnati, whichever you prefer, would require a shipyard to have the AR-101 Batteries, conversion systems, and other upgrades removed to avoid incompatibility issues for when the vessel is returned. Our lack of a shipyard makes this a problem. If however, Bretonia is willing to offer shipyard access to return the vessel to its former self, then we'd also request that the Andraste, our second craft, receive similar access, so that any of our technology that is removed from the Arktos may easily be transferred over to it instead of going to waste.

Lastly, I myself will attend these negotiations, for secession of hostilities. Our position with the Legion will become strenuous to maintain if we withdraw our paramilitary support, but I am not opposed to stepping out of this conflict, especially given the rise of Nomadic activity in Bretonia as of late. If it will keep our forces from coming under fire by theirs, so that we may do our job, then I will have no problem attending and speaking on Auxesia's behalf.

Though I should mention that we are no longer a Battlegroup. Our movement has grown beyond that capacity.

With solidarity,
