HOME SWEET HOME

SURVEY AND EXPEDITION MISSION

OBJECTIVES:
Conduct detailed explorative surveys and identify possible settlement locations

DETAILS:
The movement expands every day, with our City ships nearly bursting through the protection of hull integrity by the slow build-up known as over-population, and Ataraxia soon to follow. If we are to achieve our destiny and ascend, to preserve as well as to retake what is ours, a suitable home has to be found. Every rigid tree needs a soil to plant roots within. Find us one.

Reports should include details such as: Environmental details, nearby resources, enemy activity, any notable locations, system connections.

REWARD:

This is an act of duty, not a paperboy rally.

RESTRICTED TO:
Auxesian Personnel & Tier 2 Affiliates

POOLE SYSTEM

System Analysis

Known Connections

Cambridge Jumpgate & Jumphole.
Omega-49 Jumphole
Dublin Jumphole

System Nav Map

- Probably the single good thing about this place, the abundance of connections if things would go south.

Discovered Resources

Traces of Flourine detected within Torfaen Asteroid Field

- Unfortunately there's very little to work with in terms of usable resources.

Notable Factions Present

The presence of Mollies is notably high in the system, along with a connection to Dublin. Should be a cause for concern if nothing else, but still a point to note out.
Bretonia Police activity is among the lowest with very few scarce patrols around. I'd assume they don't care enough for the system except perhaps the Gateway installation.
Corsair presence is negligible in terms of patrols, but there's a single battleship around in the asteroid field for reasons unknown. A cause for concern, if anything.
Planetform has a slight presence in the system in the form of a station, and is mining the Flourine in the field. - [X]
Slight possibility for Gaian presence within the system from Cambridge or Omega-49, old wrecks were found within the field as proof of activity. - [X]

Nearby: Coalition can come in via Omega-49, along with more Corsairs.

- Honestly, this definitely isn't one of the best places to inhabit. Mainly because of the varying factions present, you simply can't guarantee a safe haven here.

Notable locations
Planet Cork - [X]

- While barely habitable, the terrain around the planet is mostly barren. Temperatures fluctuate between a very tight cold (-75°C) and fairly high heat (46°C).
Combined with the high Molly presence around the system to begin with and a possibility of the Corsairs interfering, it would be a mere pipe dream to be able to habit this planet. Not to mention even live upon it.

If push came to shove, this would be one of the last few places to ever consider.

KEPLER SYSTEM

System Analysis

Known Connections

Shikoku Jumpgate
Colorado Jumpgate

Cassini Jumphole
Galileo Jumphole
Colorado Jumphole

Discovered Resources
Nil.
Dark Matter clouds detected. Optimal for experimentation, creation of power generators and hiding, as scanners are not optimized for the environment. Derelict tradelanes of the former Liberty-Kusari route are present within the storm clouds.

Notable Factions Present

Archangel Fighter Club
A minority. Group known for Artifact trade and allegiance to the Corsairs. Blackmailing for resources may be possible. Group does not pose as a threat but allegiances may make use of their station(s).
Zoners
Ames Research Station may prove to be a resourceful place of interest due to the connection of the public route to Kusari and Liberty. Resources may be obtained from there. Scientific collaboration may be possible. Group not a threat.
Xenos
Whilst not hated, a shakey neutral grounds is held due to affiliation with the Hellfire Legion. An agreement to look the other way is in place, we do not hinder their operations, we don't hinder theirs. Group not a threat.
Freelancers
Noted activity of Freelance pilots in Kuryo Cloud, particularly FL-ER organisation. Mostly likely due to supply contracts.
Lane Hackers
Lane Hacker activity is significantly higher on the east side of the system sector, most likely due to the proximity of an Outpost and smuggling route through the Jumpholes. The clouds provide cover for their attacks on the Kusari-Liberty connection, mostly escaping through the storms. Group may be able to pose a threat due to extensive subterfuge abilities. Group is currently within neutral standings. May be possible for cooperation.
Kusari Naval Forces
Previously seen patrolling the borders to secure it, it's also noted that they control the northern lanes to Kusari. Patrols are scarce, due to the on-going civil war, thus, allowing armed grunts to take care of their issues, such as independant mercenaries, or the Bounty Hunters Guild. If detected, group may pose a threat, but due to low-near-none activities, they are considered docile.
Liberty Navy
Patrols aren't as high from the Liberty Navy due to neglect of interests within the system, but interceptions are common from vessels attempting to escape Liberty. Despite on-going neutrality pacts, they still prove a threat if provoked. It should be noted that the times they patrol, they stick to the lanes. Liberty is at war with Gallia, and most war assets are deployed to California, presumably, due to observation of reaction times within the system.

The Wild
Despite this, an unknown Battlecruiser by the name of Wyoming within the south cloud was detected, most notably known to be associated with the Division Nine infested branch, as LNS-Wyoming.

Notable locations

Ames Research Station. Center of the route, as noted before, it serves as a resting point for most travellers. Ingenuus Research Group administrates the base and bases the majority of their work from the outpost.

Blackport 66 / Blackhack Hangar Hidden within the Matsuo cloud, this place acts as a main hub for the gang known as the Archangel Fighter Club. Activities such as smuggling, racing - as evidenced by the race rings, gambling, and possibly all sorts of illict activities, such as substance abuse or ship modifications for racing and entertainment purposes due to the size of the facility, are on-going here. Station defences are set to hostile. Most of the defensive grid is provided by the Blackhack Hangar installation, what appears to be automated in nature. Location of said base may suffer severe damage from the dark matter storm. Implication of such environment without adequate adaption, may hint to constant supply requirement.

Poena Station. Not much is known about this base, but what is known is that Freelancers, and an organisation known as FL-ER, are supplying it. Docking is restricted, access is required. Station may be possibly be a research outpost.

Nome Base. An outpost for the Xenos. Most likely used for escapes, repairs and retrieval of cargo from the Kusari-Liberty connection.

Summary

The sector is considered not optimal for setting up home. Although, due to the presence of the economic traffic, supply may be easier to obtain, or unfortunate 'accidents' in the cloud may help.

CORTEZ SYSTEM

System analysis.

Points of interest:
Manchester Jump gate
California Jump Gate

Curacao
Montezuma Base
Conorado Jump hole
Inverness Jump hole
Magellan Jump hole

Info:

Curacao is the only planet within the Cortez system and it appears to be owned by Orbital Spa and Cruise corp. Many goods that are illegal in the neighbouring houses (such as Alien Artifacts, drugs like Synthetic Marijuana and even Cardamine) are available on Curacao - for a price.

Montezuma is a liberty rogue base, often used by many pirates to raid civilian transports and convoys in both Magellan and Cortez.

Factions:
Orbital Spa and Cruise
Universal Shipping
Gateway Shipping
Bowex
Freelancers

Lane Hackers
Liberty Rogues
Outcasts

There is not much of use in this system so its not recommended to try anything about it.

System Analysis

System Nav Map
Known Connections
Omega-52 Jumphole
Dublin Jumphole
Cayman Jumphole
Poole Jumphole

Discovered Resources
Water/Ice fields
Several ice fields surround the system, with additional habitability created by this natural resource.

Notable Factions Present

Zoners
Lanzarote Station is a supply station primarily used as a storage facility, but serves as a trade location and refueling point as well. Mollys use of this station is preferred over the high profile use of Gran Cranaria, which is the primary population point in the system, housing around 600,000 individuals.

Mollys
Operating mostly out of Garvagh Base, they control the western region as they use this base as forward operating into Dublin.

Coalition
Most of their activity is by proxy from Omega-52. Traffic is slim, but notable.

Corsairs
Having moderate patrols in the area, but again, the neutral nature of the primarily Zoner controlled space makes their activity and movement limited.

Notable locations

Gran Canaria and Grand Vista Orbital
Controlled by Zoners and their corporations to provide a temporary vacation area, free of hostilities with profit in mind. The planet itself is very habitable, with temperatures well within a hospitable range. The orbiting station, though less beautiful, houses many who find the planet below less hospitable, with all interested allowed within it. It's primary purpose is to be a hub to operate peacefully from.

Nichols Trading Center

An Omicron Supply Industries controlled trading location, with capacity of creating much needed equipment for those willing to ship the materials.

Lanzarote Station
Serving the purpose previously stated.

Summary

The system, though habitable, not recommended as Zoner rules and regulations would greatly interfere with attempts to establish operations, and enforcement of organizational rules.

Hope this information helps.

Known Connections

Omicron Zeta Jumphole
Sigma 19 Jumphole
Sigma 21 Jumphole
Okinawa Jumphole

Discovered Resources
CLASSIFIED - High interest.
Possible resources: Gas Giant - Planet Nagaoka, Extraterrestial Planet: Planet Toyohara
Abundance of ionized hydrogen and helium within Okha Nebula.

Notable Factions Present

Gas Miners Guild
High control over sector. May be resourceful for trade and supply. Group may pose as significant danger due to close relations to the Order Overwatch. May be possible to negotiate with the Guild to ensure ceasefires within their areas.

Samura
A minor presence. Samura are known for allegiance with the Corsairs, information may pose probable threat. Station detected within cloud, possibly for interception of GMG trade ships, or as a smuggling Outpost, or as an observatory.

Golden Chrysanthemums
Mostly resides within the northern regions of the sector within the Okha Nebula. May pose as an issue for trade vessels. May be possible to negotiate extraction of resources due to neutral standings.

Bounty Hunters Guild
Moderate-low threat. Operates on Eastern side of system sector. Most likely deployed to hunt criminals such as the Hogosha, Corsairs, Order, Golden Chrysanthemum or Farmers Alliance. May be a nusiance when coming to deal with CLASSIFIED operations.

Notable locations

Niigata Star City. Station may prove resourceful for the use of its massive trade centers. Gas Miners Guild have a large presence along with civilian assets. The City is known to house a little over 6000 people. Station may require constant supply, or else has its own self sufficient system.

Nobeoka Platform. A station for the Bounty Hunters Guild. As previously mentioned, due to their neglect from Kusarian culture, they reside within the borders of House Space, taking the opportunity of civil war to hunt down the now-growing unlawful presence.

Yurasu Station. Not much is confirmed about this base, and is speculated to either be an outpost to spy on the local populace, a smuggling point for the Corsair trade, or a hidden rest point for attacks on the Gas Miners Guild - as Samura has recently received attacks from the Gas Miners Guild, whether it be interception of their smuggling convoys, or their stations.

Summary
Whilst system provides interesting resources and optimal cover for covert operations within the cloud, this system is classified as desired, due to CLASSIFIED. Dangers concerning the Gas Miners Guild and their relations to the Order make this off-putting, or due to the local wars of Kusari corporations, House and the Gas Miners Guild. Whilst the war is irrelevant to us, it may possibly impact the political flow of the sector, as some factions such as the Corsairs show resent towards us, and make force their puppets to act as such. The same is applied to the Miners Guild and the Order.

Proximity to the Omicrons also poses a danger. Jumpholes are known to be unstable within nature and may pose a possible danger concerning connections. Sector is also distant from supply sources. This system is unsuitable to set up as a home point, but holds great potential if a hidden station were to be erected.

GALILEO SYSTEM

System Analysis

Known Connections

Colorado Jumpgate
Shikoku Jumpgate

Kepler Jumphole
Shikoku Jumphole
Colorado Jumphole

Discovered Resources
Nil. Dark Matter clouds. Bland asteroids.

Notable Factions Present

Lane Hackers
Most of them operate out of their local Outpost to withdraw to the station after plundering the trade vessels that travel between Kusari and Liberty. Group is a minor threat, but mostly passive due to neutralities.

Bounty Hunters Guild
Likewise to Kepler, they're noted to escort transports and civilian commercial vessels through the borders, or out to hunt for local criminals for a big buck.

Kusari Naval Forces
Likewise to Kepler, they seem to rarely patrol the system, although it should be noted that their political presense is stronger in this system, compared to Liberty's influenced Kepler.

Liberty Rogues
A large presence of Rogues is seen within the southern clouds. There is no information on the local gang. Dealings may be possible, but a long shot. Rogues are present for looting and resting at their Outpost from daily raids.

Notable locations

Padua Base. Home to the northern chapter of the Rogues, known as Padua Rogues, though the group haven't been seen within the recent years. Threat is moderate due to the excessive amount of smuggling traffic.

Leiden Base. A Lane Hacker installation with notable additions such as a Spyglass Scanner. Station is most likely used as a smuggling outpost and forward operation base for cargo interdiction on the Kusari Lanes.

Summary

Whilst this system is not optimal for settling as a home point, the eastern cloud will prove highly beneficial as a location for a hidden Outpost for refuelling, scientific study point, repair, resupply, and as a staging point for any missions. Adaption to the cloud will be necessary, to which the surrounding asteroids may assist in that goal.
