Greetings, Professor Yoshida.
Glad to make your acquaintance. My name is David Starr, I'm the CEO of Omicron Supply Industries for almost two years now. I send this communication to you, Professor, in the intention to correct some old or erroneous information you might have about OSI. You must excuse Mr. Akibara, he is young and eager.
First, about your pilots stopping our transports, our captains are instructed to collaborate every time they get intercepted by the Lane Hackers, as we respect the history between your organization and the Zoners of Sirius. Your court, your rules.
Well, since OSI works, most of the time, outside of the main channels, it's not totally a surprise that some of the information about OSI on your databases might be outdated.
You see, Jason Kelly left OSI almost two years ago. It was not a promotion, nor an amicable retirement. For all his wrongdoings, some of which you mention on your message to Mr. Akibara, the Board of Directors was in a meeting voting to expel him from the company. Meanwhile, he was already leaving but, before that, he liquidated his assets from OSI, and even erased the main company database, including most of the operational and financial information. I was chosen to be the new CEO, because I wanted something different from OSI than just credits.
You are right to say that, for some time, OSI was nothing more than a corporation like any other. I can tell you that's not the case anymore. We try to stand each day more and more for the Zoners everywhere in Sirius. After a couple months reconstructing our management information database, OSI changed his stance as a company to a more
zonerish role, so to speak. In the sense that we would try and go back to the old days when Samuel Nichols founded OSI with the intention to supply the more remote Freeports. In the sense that we are trying to support Zoners everywhere. We improved the lives of the people of Gran Canaria, helping to rebuild after the Corsairs and the Coalition bombed the planet. We helped start and finance a new Zoner university and research center, initiative that unfortunately closed after only one year due to the turmoils of war in the omicrons.
Speaking of which, OSI is also activelly supporting the humanitarian efforts in Omicron Delta since the start of this mess with the Core. Not militarilyy, of course, since we only have a few escort ships, but with helping supply and finance the rebuild of the station, and to evacuate and give medical aid to the injured, bringing them back to Gran Canaria. And we are very grateful for the helping hand that the Lane Hackers did not fail to offer to the Zoners once more. We are very aware of your help on the Freeport Eleven crisis, and for that you have our thanks.
Right now, we both are helping in the same front, for the people of Delta and against the oppression of the Core, that resembles so much the oppression of the Houses the Zoners left a long time ago. For all this I believe our groups can have a more amicable relation. At this moment we are
calling everyone friendly to the Zoners to help with the new defense for the Freeport. There are also lots of repair materials needed to put the station back to operational. I know the Zoners of Delta can count on the Lane Hackers on this too.
I hope that what I told you made you look in a different perspective towards us, and that we can continue our talks, Professor, so after this crisis in Delta is finaly over I hope our groups can, perhaps, start cooperating in some manner, as friends of the Zoners everywhere.
Starr out.
