The Nomad Vagrants Recruitment Thread

This is the ooRP recruitment thread of our faction. We wish to provide a fair and equal chance to everyone who wishes to enjoy this avenue of roleplay to do so. This does not imply that there will be standards to be met and retroactively devolving below these standards will be just as bad as failing to meet them in the first place.

1. Post in this thead using the provided template below. Do not be shy on words, although you should keep in mind a decent quality/quantity ratio when writing.
2. Posting in this thread does not automatically grant you a neutral stance to the faction.
3. Once you posted, be patient. We are trying to come to a conclusion in a reasonable time, though we all have lives that may throw stones in our way of enjoying the game.
4. Applications can also be sent to the faction account in case you wish to keep your anonymity. Everything related to your forum activity for the faction could then be posted by the faction account.
5. Applications will not be answered publically, but rather you will be contacted on Skype or via PM on the forums.

How did you find the faction? What caught your interest?

I ever wanted to play/rp like a nomad, but the K'Hara was too difficult for me since i cannot type fast. And I saw you in space + you are more active as the K'Hara

Have you read the faction writeups? Do you know what a Nomad is and do you have experience roleplaying them?

I didn't read the faction writeups(i will do soon) and I have not avery good experience how to rp them. But I know that they are the ememies of humanity and that would be the way I'd rp them.

How long have you been playing Freelancer? Do you have experience leading factions, etc.? Have you ever been sanctioned and if yes, why?

I play Disco since more than two years and I played the singleplayer campaign 2 or 3 times. I try to rp for a faction and i have a currently 1 and 1/2 men faction, the Sirius| Company.
And i got sanctioned because i fought with the order with a LiNavy ID.

As a Nomad, you are the antagonist. Are you aware that you are to play this role and that others will treat you as such? Do you have a problem with that?

Like I stated above, I know the life as a Nomad and I have no problem with it.

I once played on the Crossfire server, but there is no activity:C.
And I played Town of Salem, a game where you ahve to try to stay alive.

Playing since april 2015, got sanctionated for a number of different things.

I love the nomad speech and many other things related to them. I wanted to take my RP to next level. But K'Hara was not really what I expected to be. Vagrants are in my opinion, the best faction that suits my nomad speech.

I read some of them and was really impressed. I know what are nomads. About the RP experience. I have around...I think one month of nomad RP experience.

I am playing for 7 months and joined on 16.09.2016.I am not leading any faction. I have been sanctioned a lot at the beginning for many things. Fortunately, these have not occurred for a good while of time.

I play mostly as an antagonist, lawful life is just boring and I am aware that I will be treated as such but I mostly enjoy this.

I don't have RP experience outside of Discovery as I have here. And no, I am not playing on other servers.

Maybe a year. No but I tried to help the faction with what i can. Yes, only one time for Staying in a system after I died in the same system.

Your forum section. I've had a look at your forum sometimes and I enjoy the structure of it.

I have read it in the past, but will do again to refresh my memory. Since I'm member of Wilde (and D9) for months, I'm certain to know what a Nomad is. However, playing an actual Nomad (not an infectee) is new to me. I tried it on a Morph quite some time ago, but I didn't enjoy the K'Hara Nomad speech.

Freelancer was my very first online game back when I was ten or something. After playing on a German pvp server sometimes, I had a huge break regarding Freelancer, but picked it up again three years ago. During these three years, I've been playing actively to semi-actively. Currently semi-active, as I lack motivation to play. For one year (not sure here), I've been leading Rheinland Police. So far, I've never been sanctioned.

Yes. I'm used to get shot at, especially from flying my Wild.

The only roleplay experience I can offer is from an GTA San Andreas Multiplayer server called LSRP. I played on other Freelancer servers when I was a kid, but it's nothing worth to mention.

How did you find the faction? What caught your interest?

I've been playing as a Nomad - Nirgali (ancient Mesopotamian god) for a couple of weeks. I looked at all the Nomad factions and yours seemed the most appropriate for my character. He's Weary, full of venom, but doesn't simply want to kill everything that moves. I read your faction right ups and your aims seemed to fit in with the character.

Yes, I've read them and yes, I know what a Nomad is. I've only been playing as a Nomad for a couple of weeks, so I'm still learning. My PvP skills are non-existent, but I don't mind putting in the practice in Conn if someone can give me a few tips.

How long have you been playing Freelancer? Do you have experience leading factions, etc.? Have you ever been sanctioned and if yes, why?

I've been playing freelancer since before the advent of Gallia. I've never lead a faction, but at one time or another, I was very active in both Phoenix and the GMG. I still play my GMG chars (Vincent-Maddox) I've been sanctioned once (a couple of years ago) for disconnecting within 15k of another player. I was not trying to dodge a pirate.

I fully understand the pretty much everyone hates us. It's not a problem.

The faction is barely unnoticeable. It is a more unique and better RPd attempt for a Nomad group, I have never seen anything negative about this group and thanks to Sombra's YouTube videos, I got at least a bit of an insight.

Okay, I just read some of the trials, which are highly interesting, now I really look forward to it, I hope I don't get burned out.

EDIT: Just finished reading. I know what a Nomad is and how to roleplay them, I have a Wild character and I am currently trying to get into Aoi| as well.

For many years, Disco I have been playing for almost two years now. I lead the GMG|, I have lead {343} for a while until I decided not to do that anymore and I once had a small Xeno group that died due to only 4 members and a bad ID, as well as nothing to RP with. The only relevant sanction is known to Sombra ;3

I was following the faction since it became official, especially those trials interested me. And not having a pain in the butt evaluation like other nomad factions is a bonus for me. So i try my shot here

I am playing Discovery for a bit more than 3 years. As you can see from my forum title i am leading CR at the moment, led BMM and saved their butt from inactivity a year ago. HC in Gateway Shipping also in some other factions as a normal member. Never sanctioned (actually i did once but now it cannot be reproduced thanks to Alley's FLhook magic so i dont count it, yknow, zoner 5ker docking in house space was a pain way back in early .87)

Thats why i am joining the faction in first place, playing a serious alienated antoganist faction is a different experience that your typical powerhungry humans.

I believe i will be able to fulfill demands of decency as i did since '14. Except some rare triggered angry "Shootism" moments as people call. I acknoledge membership can be terminated.
