Namesake: Kaiserin Leicht the first remains notable in Unioner history for her pivotal role in leading the Rheinland Empire against the GMG during the first years of the eighty years war. During her reign, Rheinland experienced its territorial, militaristic and influential zenith. Leicht has a pseudo-religious status amongst the Union for her role in initiating the conflict, and no less than seven Unioner cruisers have been named after her.
Service history: The Leicht is notable as one of the few cruisers to have served in, and survived, the Nomad War, harassing GMG elements bypassed by the Niemanist push during the invasion of Kusari. Leicht’s service record has been (mostly) unremarkable since then, serving as a signal intelligence cruiser. Recently, the Leicht has taken a more active role in probing the tenacity of the 5th fleet in Texas.
Commander(s): Variable.
