Biographie:

Given the rather rural circumstances under which the majority of the population of Orleanais lives, it was little surprise that, to escape either working on fields or inside some unruly GMS mine, many of the local youth seek glory in fighting for the Roi in the ranks of the Royal Navy. Fattened and fed with propaganda deifying Charles XI, it seemed only natural. The reality of war, however, was different from what many of the recruits expected, as it diverged from what was shown on the national neural net and beyond.

The tactics used to retain conscripts in the Royal Navy are as despicable as they are robust. After a murderous period of three years, those who survived were oftentimes so disturbed by what they have seen that they have troubles finding back into a normal life. It was in some way similar to how prisoners who have been there for over thirty years would develop psychological dependencies on the way they are treated and find it therefore hard to live as they did before. With the Royal Navy, it was similar, or at least it was for Philomène. Having served her three years in hell upon the surface of Planet Leeds, occupying, subjugating, murdering, being shot by dissidents, always wary of that which could hide behind the next pile of rubble on the streets, she tried finding back into her normal life on Orleanais. While her family was not rich by any stretch of the imagination, they readily welcomed her back with open arms, though it soon became apparent that her time on Leeds had affected her deeply, and even though the family was nothing but kind, there was nothing they could do to ease her suffering but endure it. In the end, Philomène wanted to spare them the need to suffer through her own brokenness. Thus she returned to the Navy, for their sake. The sound of artillery was soothing, after all.

During an incident in Kyushu during which a large Nomad present advanced into the system, the Royal Navy interfered, Philomène was to partake. The Kusarians had heinously backstabbed the Royal Navy forces, and everything was in disarray. It was little more than pure coincidence that a downed Rheinland ship dropped something that emitted a strange energy signature, which was something that she had her ship pick up. Later contacting the Royal Navy Headquarter, the Power Cell was taken by the Office of Naval Intelligence, as it was a hazardous alien object, and shortly after, Philomène received what looked like official orders on her personal terminal. She was to move to Perth Station, which would be her new permanent occupation. It came as a surprise to her, but not an unwelcome one. Perth was in a place that was quieter, something she might appreciate over time. She never had enough time to appreciate it, as the actual occupants of Perth made her their own directly after her arrival.
