Σ' αυτήν Να Πας

Alright, returning to the news at hand, we cover the food situation on Crete, and how the Zoner's have made considerable efforts to alleviate the strain felt by many on our Planet.

As many may know, the land available on Crete is largely arid, infertile and metal rich. Aside from the plains of Attica, very little of Crete can support large scale farming efforts. As a result of this, the Dorian people have always struggled for food, and despite great strides having been taken to a more sustainable approach, this struggle against hunger remains ever present on our world.

This story, however, is not one of sadness or loss, but proof that the future is indeed bright for our people, as the Council of Elders has managed to get the support of outside groups, such as the Zoner's and their affiliated subgroups to ease the difficult times with deliveries of food from off world.

It is rumored that more lasting solutions are being worked towards as well by the Council, however we were unable to learn more about these efforts from their representatives, being left with a decidedly vague "No Comment".

In just a few moments we will return with more top of the hour news, live from Crete. Until then, here more from the top charts.

Ποια Ζωή

The top story today is the relief efforts under way for our brave pilots on Petra Outpost. The men and women there have been on the recieving end of a prolonged siege, and being so far from normal Dorian patrol paths, have had to rely largely on themselves to survive. However, its not all gloom and doom, as recently the Custodi has taken these issues upon themselves, and negotiated for supplies to be ferried to the defenders, escorted by their own valiant pilots.

With the information we here at Radio Kalhmera have been able to gather, it would seem that the suppliers are independent Dorians, a handful of Custodi traders and members of the Hogosha subset Tate, with other potential donors being sought after. This reflects on the spirit of the people of Crete and their allies as we band together to look after our own. Even now as war looms over the sector, our pilots and allies brave the dangerous sector to bring some measure of aid to the Outpost.

In other news, some of you more traveled pilots may of noticed the magnificent site that is the Athos, as it hovers protectively of our home in nearby Omega-55. Clearly a sign that even in these troubled times, there is always hope for something great.

This is Calista from Radio Kalhmera tuning into you live from Planet Crete, bringing you non-stop news and the best music around. For all of you listening, today's broadcast is going to touch on the actions of the brave Custodi pilots that work non-stop to keep all of us on Crete safe and their efforts to expand our great nation further into the stars.

However, before we jump straight into the story, please enjoy Δυο Σταγόνες Νερό by Josephine.

And now, to head into the top story today. I'm sure many of you have heard about the exploits of the star pilots led by General Augustopolos. Recently, we've been paying close attention to the actions of their pilots, as not only are they from Heraklion itself, but they're actively making a difference for the Custodi and Dorian people where ever they go.

Recently we've heard of their relief efforts in assisting Petra Outpost, and just the other day we received information that they are currently engaged in both Cambridge and Sigma-21, where they seek to expand the reach of our people. In Cambridge, they are conducting successful raid after raid against the Bretonian oppressors, and have made good headway into carving a foothold out for themselves. In Sigma-21, the the General's pilots are keeping careful watch over Planet Saigon, as they lay claim to it and it's moon.

Further, raids in the lower parts of Rheinland are meeting with mixed successes as the pilots there freely rove the systems, bringing our laws into an otherwise despotic region. Finally, word has reached me that Custodi pilots have been seen alongside the defense fleet pilots of Casablanca, partaking in the operations there to keep hold off the base, as well as seemingly gathering forces there for a push towards the lower Bretonian systems.

It is clear that our pilots are going to have their hands full carving out a brighter future for us all, and it's up to us to help them make Sirius a better place for everyone back home on Crete.

Now, to round out the hour, here's Βασίλισσα by Eleni Foureira. It's been great presenting for you, this is Calista and Radio Kalhmera.
