My name is Clyde Loken. I was born on Planet Manhattan in 798 A.S. My father is an DSE engineer and mother works as a teacher. I have no siblings. I attended Greentown High School and thereafter I continued my education on Clinton High School with emphasis on physics. I've always been fascinated by space and space-travel. I signed up for Manhattan Aerospace University and graduated with a major in astrophysics.
Being in my early twenties I'm not ready to settle with a job in an office or a lab. I've never flown a spacecraft before and I want to get some flying experience.
I believe that a career in the Liberty Navy has much more to offer and I understand the risks involved.

Well, I guess it'll be hard to explain why I'm back where I started seven years ago. I've talked things over with Hale and he says I need to do this to make it official, so here it is. While my name may sound like that of a Rheinlander, I would like to make it clear that my family predates Rheinland. We had originally emigrated from an old Earth nation, Germany to the United States just prior to what was called World War II to avoid the fascism of Germany during that period. They sought freedom, and found it. A family tradition was formed, to have at least one of any generation born, join an organization responsible for protecting that freedom, be it police, military, etc.
I have always favored the military arm, like my father. He served as an enlisted man on a Liberty Navy vessel whose name he kept telling me that he could not reveal. However, unlike my father, I decided I would prefer to serve as an officer, rather than an enlisted man. I have devoted my life towards this goal. I have recently graduated from West Point Military Academy and think I would make an excellent addition to the Liberty Navy.
I have two brothers who seem interested in the Navy as well, though I don't expect them to try joining soon. My father was honorably discharged and has since retired. He still refuses to go into any detail of what he did in the service. My mother was an instructor in the school I went to on Manhattan. Instead of being more lenient on her children, or showing us favoritism, she seemed to make us work harder. The Military and its hardware have always fascinated me.
