Biographical Segment: In west Philadelphia born and raised in workshop is where I spent most of my days. Chillin out maxin relaxin all cool and all fixing some guardians outside of the school. When a couple of guys that were up to no good, started making trobule in my neighborhood I gave em one little shock and they all got scared. They said "you best be getting on out here". I begged and pleaded day after day but they punched me in the face and sent me on my way!

I'm sorry I can never take anything seriously. I probably should take this one seriously though. I was born into an ordinary family on planet Manhattan, my parents were electricians. Growing up I wanted to be the same, I thought it was cool and all. I graduated from the university got a local job as an electrician, I worked on fixing up some ships for the police for some time. Then I saw what happened in California, with the Royal Navy. I stopped telling myself I was making a difference by just repeatedly fixing ships and decided to fill out this form.

Your experience in Discovery: Ok, so I've been around since '07 joined the forums in '08 and have been on and off in the community for a while due to moving. I have, been, sanctioned (not proud of it) but I try to keep my 'demons' at bay for the most part.

Biographical Segment: From a young age, Matt had always boasted a keen interest in aircraft of all types. His father was an Air Traffic Controller.
Throughout his early life, Matt sought to gain as much experience with aircraft as he could, studying all the elements of basic flight, and spending countless hours in the simulators where his father worked. A year after starting high school, Matt joined up with the Erie Air Training Corps, and began to hone his skills as a pilot, undertaking many flights with the squadron in his hometown. Upon graduating High School with his diploma, he enlisted with the Erie Air Force, and from there went to the Officer Candidate School, where he specialised in Advanced Fighter Squadron Tactics.

After six months, he had passed out of OCS and he became an instructor in the EAF, teaching basic and advanced aircraft flight, while also volunteering whatever spare time he had back to the Air Training Corps, to help a new generation of pilots rise up through the ranks. It was here, that his skill as a pilot was recognised, and he was asked to fly lead in the EAF's acrobatics squadron, the 'Liberty Blues'. For three display seasons, he headed up the team, performing in many different events and showcases, before eventually retiring, to seek out the new challenge of Space flight. He purchased a Sunburst Freighter and headed out to space, running cargo between Erie and Hamburg, before applying for a job at Universal Shipping, running Gate and Lane parts between Pueblo Station and the Planet Miura. Seeking more of a challenge, Matt picked up a Sunrider fighter and joined up with Liberty Police Incorporated, where he spent four years guarding the citizens of Liberty, engaging in countless skirmishes with all kinds of enemy pilots, most notably the Liberty Rogues.

Now, he believes that his time as a civilian is over, and he seeks out the military life once more, hoping to join the Liberty Navy as a fighter pilot, to aid in the defence of Liberty's borders.

Your experience in Discovery: I haven't been around in Discovery that long, only about a month now, but I've played vanilla Freelancer since release. I haven't ever been sanctioned. So far my experience of the server has been a good one, and all of the interactions I've had have been very friendly.

Biographical Segment: I've been born on Houston, my parents have been farmers for their entire life, as were my grandparents. You've surely seen Houston from above once? You can guess a farm doesn't make for a living down there, so we had a garage too for some extra bucks. I didn't visit school but my grandma taught me how to read and write my name. I helped with the family business since I can walk, became a decent mechanic. Didn't do the job since years though, doubt I'm up to date. Thats how my life went till the Krauts attacked the system I call home! I couldn't just read the news about how Liberty's best, the lifeblood of our nation, get under the wheels while we old farts lean back and enjoy life, so I paid the next recruitment office a visit. They weren't exactly convinced I'd make for a good pilot but they allowed me to start the basic training. Turns out I'm as good with fighters as I am with speeders, reasonable I'd call it. In other words I passed the tests and got thrown into the war and fought in quite some battles till the peace was signed. After things settled in the south and the west got in danger of by Gauls an old friend, McKinzy, Captain and commanding officer of the attack group south looked for experienced pilots to complete his fighter wing, obviously I signed in on the spot. We fought against the Gallics and even the LSF when they turned out to be turncoats. Now the attack group is part of the Yukon fleet, usually not taking part in front line assaults any more and I feel I still got enough power in my bones to serve where the real soldiers are, at the very front. I hope you consider my application, even though I surely am older than your usual recruit. What I lack in youth I make up with experience.
