I mine helium in my Hegemon. Only first 4 weapon slots are needed for mining lasers. Mining ID as usual... your good to go.
Yes. Although up to this day I think it should be Kamome giving bonus to that, since it is the only gas miner in entire Sirius - while Hegemon is rather... hm... designated to extract ores from rocks.
