The Jump Hole merely makes it easier and thus the system more dangerous. They aren't really any stronger than any other hostile faction.
It's a good thing that you guys allowed the Nomads to join, this way it's at least not becoming a easy trade Event, where almost no People will stop you to sell the ore.

So true, not only that but the last one of these events has next to no enemies and everyone was power trading, and the location being the sigma's is very easy for GMG traders to go in and get these "ore" and get out before people from Bretonia or Liberty can get there.

What do you expect from a Nomad? Remember how they used to swarm and obliterate you back in vanilla campaign? That's what Nomads do. Mostly.

Allowing people on probation to post outside of role play was a really stupid idea.
get good or get got, this event needed some "Kill All BadGuys"...the Nomad play that role well.
