Shared Ships

Shared ships (the faction ones in this case) are something that most factions, at least the biggers ones, have these days. Their purpose is to be quickly available in case a player does not have either his own ship ready or not a ship of that kind at all. But shared ships are often a reason why faction leaders need to nail a few no-gos into their member's heads.

a. Which is probably the most obvious one, do not delete or sell the ship. Although you can request shared ships to be protected, which means nothing about them can be changed and it will kick you out of the game, some factions might not do this or care about it in the first place. Deleting or selling a shared ship is a major d*ck move and will only get you in trouble, not to mention how useless it is in the first place since such ships can easily be restored by the Admins.

b. Do not break any rules on the ships. Sure, you shouldn't break any rules in the first place, but on a shared ship it is a major nuisance. Some other members might be dependant on this specific ship or it is needed in some other way. Sometimes those ships are stuck in Bastille for a long time and hinder certain possibilities ingame. Depending on how heavy the rulebreak is, it might even get deleted, which would mean that the Admins will not restore it either. This will either leave you paying for a new ship or kicked out of your faction, depending on how the ship is shared.

c. If a player manages to escape you in some way, do not log the ship to hunt after this ship, this is considered bad sport, as well as a breaking of rules (1.5 Meta/powergaming ). Generally, do not use the ship if it doesn't have a practical use for the faction, a raid or anything like it.

d. Don't abuse the fact that nobody from outside knows it is you on the ship by being a somewhat unreasonable idiot. It will give the ship a bad reputation and if someone else logs in on it, they might face a lot of complaints about attitude from the certain player. I also generally advise you not to use shared ships as patrol or "everyday" vessels, you should have your own for that.

e. Generally speaking, don't cause trouble for your faction on that char. Being a troublemaker on a shared ship has consequences for the whole faction, not just you, be considerate to your comrades and faction leaders, they probably have enough stuff to care about.

f. Although not sure if possible, don't rename the ship or try to make it your own by moving it, if it is not protected. Though this can be tracked, it is simply a stupid idea and the attempt to do so will get you in trouble, either by Admin powers or faction consequences. Generally, don't try to move guns or anything if the ship is not protected, or anything, it has its loadout for a reason, most likely.

g. Don't use the ship for more than it has been made for, if the primary owner says so, if a ship is for a raid, don't use it outside of it, even if you have the possibility.

h. Don't go to Connecticut with the ship unless you have permission to do so.
