The Gallic Dream

There have been rumors circulating our bases that the loss of Kirkwall to the Corsair pets, the Gaians, has blunted many avenues desired by the Maltese people. While it is true that the capture of the Orkney base and loss of many valiant defenders has made an impact, as having such valued lives taken does to our people, it is only a minor setback in the grand scheme.
We will continue to move forward against the odds just as our ancestors before us and we will bring a new prosperity to Malta, aided unwittingly by the Crowned Buffoon the Gallics call King Charles the XI.

It only serves as poetic justice that Gallia’s hunger for expansion has pushed even greater numbers to our way of life. It is a great boon that will serve us well during the struggles that are bound to challenge us as the sector enters into a period of unrivaled volatility and our own expansion into the ripe territory of Gallia.
Though the loss of Kirkwall has prevented our denial of fresh grounds to the egotistical Corsairs and their lackeys, our proximity has afforded us an advantage that we shall press to its fullest extent. However we have met with a complication in this endeavour we have never faced, a competing product.

Two groups control the Gallic blackmarket, the thuggish Free Brigands and the shrouded Unione Corse. Together these factions have secured an iron grip upon their territory that has thus far proven impenetrable to supply without their permission, one the Brigands are eager to exploit. It is the Unione Corse and their dominion over the drug they call Nox that curtails our efforts to share the Orange Dream.
To most this would seem an insurmountable challenge yet the truly cunning would realise that even between two indestructible halves there is always a seam of weakness, one must only find the appropriate wedge. We have named ours Torino and from it we shall trickle our cardamine through the cracks and into the hands of the Brigands. Drop by drop, the gap will widen until the seam is finally broken and the blackmarket divided.

Till all that remains is to crush the opposition
