UPDATE:
The Kruger are taking advantage of the Rheinland offensive in the Sigmas and are plotting to occupy the Helium-3 fields in the Sigma-19 system! (You need a Behemoth to mine Helium-3)
A combat bonus has been granted for all involved IDs in the CONTESTED systems as described below!

Part 1 of the event has been finished.
Most of the valuable scrap around the Sigma-13 gate has been salvaged and while the field is still minable, the droprate has been halved.

The developing situation between the sides involved have resulted in the following changes:

Sigma-13, Sigma-15, Sigma-17 and Sigma-21 are now deemed as a CONTESTED TERRITORY. All PVP deaths suffered in this area have a reduced cooldown of 30 minutes, instead of the standard two hours. You will be prompted by a warning about this when you enter a CONTESTED system.

RM IDed ships may now treat the Sigma-13, Sigma-15, Sigma-17 and Sigma-21 system as their standard ZOI and, while in the mentioned sigma systems only, may impose the following new line:
- May demand credits and cargo from non-allied ships in the Sigmas only and destroy them if they refuse to comply.

To elaborate, this line also includes roleplay demands used for blockading systems. Such as a demand to leave to another system or be shot.
Their line of ''- Can attack ships which are in violation of Rheinland laws or belong to a house or organisation considered hostile by Rheinland within their Zone of Influence.'' allows them to engage GMG ships, except for transports.
MND IDed ships have the same two lines, but cover ALL Sigmas.

The GMG, having been unjustly pressured into a defensive role, have received the following lines in their ID:
- May treat Rheinland Military and MND ships as combat targets in the Sigmas only.
- Can ally with Golden Chrysanthemums and Blood Dragons.
- Cannot ally with any other unlawfuls except for against Rheinland factions in the Sigmas only.

More lines will be added to other IDs as the storyline progresses.
A repair event will begin soon.
No RFP? Was hoping we could get involved in Sigma 13 at least.
Sigma-13 should be okay for RFP, it is part of the ZOI
Quote:Zone of Influence: Rheinland, systems directly bordering Rheinland

YER FIRED!!! Never talk down to a superior officer!

Jokes aside. I forgot that part. I need sleep...
I will add a token combat bonus to these systems and involved IDs for the sake of tracking a bit later, but do not expect a large bonus for now.

Thank you~
Is there a way GMG snubs can stand up to Rheinland caps in the gas pockets? Because These pockets are lore-wise an advantage for GMG snubs, however - in gameplay reality - snubs just melt and have Zero chances against caps, which are employed a lot by Rheinland players. This has the potential to seriously hamper a cool pvp-exchange in Sigma 13 at least (don't know about how gassy the other Sigmas are).

Currently, only Sigma-13 has those gas pockets, while Sigma-59 has quite a bunch of useful obstacles. However, as soon as GMG loses Sigma-13, all Rheinland needs is to find the jump hole to Sigma-19 and then the jump hole to Sigma-59. Once they reach Niigata, GMG has a serious problem.

Could it be possible to temporarily significantly lower or even remove the damage which gas pockets do? Cool explosions would stay but without having negative effect on the snub battles. But I donĀ“t know how easy or difficult is to quickly implement this.
The gas pocket zones in Sigma-13 could have their density toned down to be more in line with Tau-23/Omega-5 minefields. Sparse gas/mines that you have to pay a bit of attention to, but not so worrying that you'll have to spend all of your time dodging.
