The Zoner and Order Peace Accord

Punctually at 1100 hours, the Lausanne docked with Freeport 9 on Omicron Theta. The ship would dock there to do its final maintenance. Nothing else would be needed, as Nikola Lauper, the ship's captain, made sure that everything was top notch before leaving Rheinland space and heading towards the infamous Omicrons. She scheduled for the ship to be at 1130 near Planet Vespus, and allow the negotiating parties to board the ship as soon as they arrive. The Amarus Cloud would hide them from any potential bypassers.

The ship was divided into four areas, each possible to further divide into half if needed, in case of heated negotiations. The first one was the lounge, a lofty area with windows towards space, as well as comfortable divans, billiard pool tables, an extensive bar desk and a flashy stage. Music and entertainment shows were planned for this trip, but only if the situation fits.

The second area was the dining hall. After all, if the negotiations would drag on, hunger would set in at some point. The dining hall had a fine and well-decorated table, and an extensive kitchen with fine cooks employed by Eden Paradises.

The third area was the spa, a place to wash oneself and relieve of burdens and simply relax. Diplomacy flourishes only when the participants feel themselves well, and Eden Paradises intends to make it so. Every area could be separated into two areas, to avoid problems, however it would be encouraged for both sides to relax together.

The fourth area was, perhaps, the most important one: The diplomatic room. While Eden Paradises does not restrict the topics, they do wish for all negotiations and political discussions between the parties to remain within the diplomatic room. On demand, the room can be divided in two as well with a strengthened glass panel. It was only for situations where the participants would not be able to stay calm in each other's presence. Avoiding any conflict was a priority.

Private bedrooms were also prepared for many on both sides of the ship. The staff was prepared and anxious - this was the first large-scale negotiations that Eden Paradises has ever hosted. Nobody wanted for things to go sour, the company's own reputation was now at stake. Nikola Lauper waited on the bridge, drinking tea, and awaiting for the first party to appear and board the Lausanne...

Well rested, The Order Admiralty composing of Golanski and Shepard made their way towards planned meeting point in a heavily up-armored Pelican transport. Dressed in the black naval uniform standard to their organization, they eagerly waited the momenth they could discard their shuttle. Particularly Golanski was not feeling right by sitting in a transport, one of his almost crippling habits exemplifying by not being at helm of the starship he was aboard. His companion, Admiral Sara Shepard was uneasy, he could read that even from well kept proffesional face that betrayed little emotion. He knew she was weary of the intense conflict and wanted to see an end to it. The only fatigue he experienced was lost sleep spent on voluntarily overseeing to almost every single combat operation in Delta. He had commanders more than qualified to take it from there but what kind of leader he would had been otherwise... he remembered Orillion's nature of leading from the front, even if his own personnal inspiration came from the man that lead immediately after: Former Libertonian officer, Supreme Commander Johnathan Pryde.

Lausanne's was in range, at opposite end of the Vespus. The Order's battleship Canaan with all of its fighter compliment were nearby to provide additional security over otherwise strategically insignificant nebula. Boarding, he was met with surprisingly simple and contrasting colors, keeping in mind ruggedness and industrialism of The Order. This ship was purposefuly built for the luxury rather than maximum efficiency. Boarding, he was met with "soldiers"... he could not really call them as such without unwarranted tone of sarcasm. They carried non-lethal weapons, various tazers and fancy paralyzers utilizing every single utilization of energy towards disabling a standard human being. At this point, they had to give up on their weapons.

He had read the agreement. He understood all the meaning of it... allthough he hated the very thought, he had to surrender the last two tools of a Free Omicron Man he had on himself: his combat knife (being the sentimental, he had to bring it at least for the trip) and side arm had to be deposited and awaiting his return in the liner's lockers. He decisively dwarfed Sara in bulk and most of the security officers too, taking confident steps towards room that they reffered to as "diplomatic room". In Omicrons it often meant a posh word for insulting the other side without them knowing or simply berating them over courses of at very least decades long war. Always war... For as long two organisms breathed in Omicrons, there would be a war here in this very constellation. All these thoughts made him miss the loaded pistol at his side.

"Boom Boom Boom Boom, "
"Ich schieß dich einfach ab, "
"Leg dich einfach flach,"
"Nehm dich mit zu mir,"
"Steck dich in mein Haus"
"Boom Boom Boom Boom"

The sound of Rheinlandic music played lightly within his hood as Brettonias walked with a pair of his personal guards through the bright passages aboard the Ashira as they made their way past one of the carrier's view ports. Planet Vespus. He had never seen it but read the reports of its location within the nebula within Theta. A dreary spot to be sure but considering its chosen location he took approval due to its proximity to Freeport Nine for these talks. "I want you both to remain in the lobby once we're on board so you two can keep yourselves armed. Do not move to assist me unless I call for it. I'll be on channel at all times so if I'm cut off for more than a minute you are to inform the rest on the Ashira to board and recover me. Lethal force if necessary. Is that understood?" The two troopers nodded sharply with a solemn "Yes sir." as they proceeded aboard one of the few shuttles and began to head off.

"I'm not taking my helmet off.."
"But pardon me sir. We have to make sure you are who you say you are."
"Did my reservation not state I would be like this?"
"No. No sir. It did not. Please just for a few moments..."
"My helmet does not come off without proper justification outside of the confines of Freeport One, My ship, and the system of Baffin."
"Sir. I'll have to contact Captain Lauper over thi-"
"Then please by all means, get a hold of your superior. I will gladly talk to him over this missed detail."

The sound of a metallic sigh came from Brettonias as the receptionist picked up his phone from behind the counter and began to speak. "Captain Lauper. Could you come to the main lobby for a moment? There seems to be an issue in confirming with Mister Wingspan's identity to his reservation."

As the representatives began to appear on the ship's scope, Nikola rose up and gently, slowly, inhaled and exhaled. This was it. No mistakes were allowed, as peace depended on every single staff member's behavior.

Admitting the Order went without any problems. The staff greeted them and as per the treaty, stripped them of their weapons. Nikola herself came down as fast as possible, and welcomed the Order's representatives personally on board. A few words were exchanged there, before a notification came on the arrival of the Confederation's ship. Humbly, Nikola had her staff help the two admirals lead them to their rooms as well as offer any services they would require. Once the would have settled in, they would be lead to the lounge.

Running from one side of the ship to the other, she would receive a message from the staff currently admitting in the Confederation's representatives. Hearing it all through her earpiece, she responded: "I'll be right there. Proceed with our regulations and ensure that they are unarmed."

The staff would politely ask Mr. Wingspan and his followers to remove any and all weapons and otherwise dangerous items. "They will be kept safe within a tightly-shut container to which only Captain Lauper will have the codes to," they would explain. "The Captain is on her way here as we speak as well."

So far so good, Nikola Lauper thought. Admissions were proceeding smoothly. As she entered the hangar bay reserved for the Confederation, she was faced with the helmet-clad man.
She wasn't sure how he was going to do any negotiations without showing his face, but that wasn't her business. Her job was to make sure each participant was accommodated to the best of their ability.

"Welcome to the Lausanne," Nikola would greet them. "If you could show us your ID card, then we can focus on helping you to your rooms and our services," she smiled to them.

As the Lausanne remained stationary in its orbit of Vespus taking in its guests, flanked by the Ashira and the Canaan a single glint of light shon between them a reflection of the Theta sun, as the glint moved closer to the liner it would be visible both on scanner and via the windows to be a singular Osprey flying between the pair of capital ships and headed for the Lausanne.

"This is Jerard Voncloud to the lausanne, requesting permission to dock, submitting Ship ID code now"

"Understood, we have your ID confirmed, please proceed to Dock 2"

With permission granted Voncloud maneuvers the Osprey into the Liners docking bay setting his ship down aside the shuttles that were already there. The ship hissed as it began to power down, a mix of air pressure and heat being generated whilst within the cockpit Voncloud was removing his flight helmet before placing his usual pair of aviators on.
As the hatch of the Osprey opened to allow him to climb out 2 of the Security attendants had made their way over giving him a moment to climb down before welcoming him on board.

"Jerard Voncloud, welcome to the Lausanne, if you would be so kind as to give up any firearms or weapons you may be carrying"
He looked around first before facing them and smiled holding his arms out.
"I am entirely unarmed, if you wish to check of course feel free"

It didnt take a moment to check, using metal detectors and a brief pat down found the statement to be true, Voncloud had exited his ship entirely unarmed although he wasn't overly bothered at this point, rather looking over at the little gathering of people, one with an over the top ridiculous helmet on he knew immediately. He lowered his arms once the all clear was given
"Doing a fine job Gents" He commented before walking over to Bretonias and the group.

In comparison to the other Confederation Leader Voncloud could of been considered scruffy looking, wearing his combat trousers, dusty boots worn soldier pad with bandoleer and casual tactical shirt. Wondering over with hands in his pockets he approaches Bret and wether he knew of his presence or not, proceeds to give him a gentle thump in the arm.

"Not causing problems already are you Wingspan?"
The commotion was brought to an end as Captain Lauper addressed the situation, behind the mask a face of embarrassment as he wrongly accounted on who Lauper was. "My apologies.", came out in a metallic tone, "I have come under quite a bit of scrutiny and threats upon my life for the past few years, usually I do not go to public places without an escort, but for such today, my escorts shall remain in the shuttle bay." And with that he raised a sleeved arm and quickly dismissed the pair from the lobby. "I am putting quite a bit of trust into you Captain. Don't disappoint me." The then relative calm was abruptly broken when the sudden familiar voice and hit against him was made known, slowly turning around.

"Ah. Jerard. It would seem so, and taking into consideration that you continue to show up in a manner of a ruffian for diplomatic talks. I believe you have little wiggle room for such a statement."
After having been escorted to the room by the Lausanne's guards, Sara waited outside the door for the others to appear. She had moved ahead of the others already, not being one for crowds or gatherings. One of the Lausanne's guards stood by the door, and she decided to start a little chat with him, the nervosity being slightly noticeable on her voice - which sounded slightly shaky. "So emm... I was curious. Your ships are unarmed, and the only real defense you have comes in the form of a shield. What happens when you come under attack by Nomads or other vagrants? I doubt they'd go non-lethal on you." She smiled a little, looking at the man.

"Your trust is well placed, Mr. Wingspan. I welcome you too, Mr. Voncloud. Thank you both very much for coming here." Nikola proceeded to confirm both of their identities based on the information she herself had received. All checked out, and she proceeded to lead the two representatives of the Confederation to their own respective rooms.

"This ship is equipped with almost everything related to comfort, please do not hesitate to use the services available here. If you require anything to your rooms, do call us through the datalink inside them. The representatives of the Order will be joining in the lounge once they've settled in, I would recommend the same. Though, if you'd like some privacy and only see them in the diplomatic room, we can arrange that. We do however strongly encourage to share a drink with them as a gesture of good faith. We'll make sure nothing goes wrong. Once you feel ready, simply give us the message that you would like to begin the negotiations. Likewise, we'll message you when the Order's representatives would request the same."

In the meantime, one of the Order's representatives, Sara Shepard, questioned one of the guard's before going to the lounge. The guard bowed lightly and smiled to the lady.

"Hello there. Yes, our ships are completely stripped of anything that can be considered to be harmful to other ships. As for what do we do then, our ship's hull and shields are reinforced. Our first and foremost choice is to run. With our proximity to both the planet and Freeport 9, we'll hold out well enough even without cruise speed. On top of that, our pilots have trained to use countermeasures to avoid having our engines disrupted."

The guard smiled. "Fear not, Miss, you are safe here. There are even more failsafe plans and mechanisms built to ensure everyone's survival."

She smiled back at the man. "Its not getting myself hurt that I worry about. I am more concerned about the safety of you and everyone else on this vessel." She looked to the corridor, wondering if the others were finally planning on heading here aswell. "Whats taking them so long?"
Admiral Golanski listened in carefully to discussion between Shepard and the Eden personnel as they made their way towards central, diplomatic chamber. He recalled that even Doc Holliday who made a point to assume neutrality to as many parties as it was possible was a fan of deffinately lethal weaponry like old Terran revolvers and his own vessels sported some defensive equipment. Here, he wondered about the actual procedures concerning conflict. Passing impressive set of doors, he figured that isolating entire section of the ship trapping the intruders within was in most likelyhood priority security measure.

"How... do you exactly enforce peace and order aboard your starship... In an event of a brawl between two delegates."

Entering the room, he inspected the amenities and pristine condition of the place. Finding his side of the table, marked adequately as Order's delegation he took a seat. He did not knew how long it would take the Zoners to move though the security hurdles and any possible antics he could imagine. There was a point when he thought to understand the Zoners. It was a distant past now.

"If you would be kind, inform Miss Lauper that we are ready. While I wait, I would like a glass of rum."
