3. Recruitment

  • 3.1 Recruitment is a 2 stage process for BD|, first you’ll join the main fleet. Which you can do here. During this initial stage you will get to fly out with the factions High Command and a get a solid understanding of the whole Blood Dragon operation and have had an interaction will all the Dragon clans. Now that you have had a chance to get to know the clans and their leaders you get to pick which clan you want to join.

  • 3.2 All new recruits will start in a Fighter/Bomber, simply because BD| and its clans operate within a closed economy and your clan will have to pay for your ships. Don’t worry though you can easily help your clan obtain the funds required for whatever shiny ship you are after as there are plenty of shared vessels that you can fly ranging from snubs-gunboats and smuggler vessels you can use.

  • 3.3 Picking a Clan, some larger clans might be a “jack of all trades” but if you are someone who really likes a specific type of RP smaller more specialized clans may be the way to go.

  • 3.4 Current Clans:
    Clan Kijima
    Clan Augus
    Watanabe Clan
    Yūbokumin Clan

  • 3.5 Members who fly "BD|" without a clan tag are able to bypass the requirement to spend clan money and can use anyship available to them but these ships must not take part in any clan RP or role play on behalf of the shogun

4. Rising through the ranks.

  • 4.1 You may notice that Ranks from clan to clan vary, this is because Daimyo’s have a lot of freedom when running their clans. Promotion from rank to rank will be awarded to you by your Daimyo. The other way to gain recognition is by receiving Titles or Awards appointed to you by the Shogun.

  • 4.2 After you have settled into your clan you be happy and content with your progression and role dictated by your Daimyo, but for those who feel their work may have been unappreciated by their Daimyo or simply want more power and responsibility then advancing to Daimyo might be the right solution. Be aware that becoming a Daimyo means being responsible for you clan, your members and the systems you claim. Being unable to delegate and share your power or being inactive could cost you all 3.

  • 4.3 Becoming a Daimyo and having your own clan route 1. If you have shown the ability to lead, conduct good RP and make the most out of a bad situation, then the Shogun may reach out to you. Being offered the role directly from the Shogun means that you will create a new clan and you will be able to leave your previous clan on friendly terms.

  • Route 2. Popular Support, even if the Shogun and you clans Daimyo doesn’t recognise your ability you can attempt a hostile takeover. Secretly reach out to your clans members and if more than 40% of them are happy to openly declare their support to you, you may begin the Civil Strife event. Be careful when doing this as losing the event could cost you your position with your clan and lower your personal reputation with the other clans. Not to mention, if you get caught trying to raise forces against your Daimyo too soon, they may take pre-emptive action against you.

  • Route 3 A Position of privilege. If your Daimyo’s reach extends too far they will need to appoint members to oversee some of their outer systems. If you find yourself appointed a “mini” Daimyo and have at least 2 members under you whom are based within that system and are willing to support your claim you may initiate the Rising Embers event.
