Hi there.

Just wondering whether, when you take a scan, you make sure you're not within range of any solars, or whether you just risk it.

Also, can you scan off the plane - I seem to remember hearing somewhere that you cant?

As long as you hold still whilst scanning, you should be fine. Otherwise, as far as I know, all coords default to on-plane.

You need to be in range of the plane, but it can't be more than ~20 or something around that deviating from the horizontal plane.
