edit.: to be fair they hail from the Coalition displayed in Starlancer wich show them as a mix of 50is stereotype soviets/north koreans/ china/ kuba; hotchpotch so i guess this qualifies as communists.
They are about as communist as the Soviet Union was. Or on par with Juche.
Or, more accurately, they're NEP-era Soviet Union, but less plagued by primitive communications technology and with greater access to trains that run on time.
