(Piracy-Combat event)

Mission background

Regular patrols in Tau space gave to known pirates named Atrum Exercitus information about unusual and greatly secured convoys, mostly belongs to IDF. From time to time they cruised within Tau space to Leeds system and few pilots could calculate period, how often convoys may appear there.
Everything could means only one: Convoys transporting something important for their Royal Navy and Atrum Exercitus has an unique chance to suppress delivery and they decided to launch a large operation called "On the radar"

Several wings must disrupt tradelanes at the waypoint in Tau-31 system, stop convoy, eliminate escort and take control under transports. And then, escort transports to the Barrier Rim.

IDFS| is not particularry interested in this event.
Good.
So IDF's honour will be defended by indie players.
It perfectly shows how IDF is ready to play.

Also, AE|Dolor on the AE side
There is no IDF faction currently in existence.

Oops, there is. They still need to be noticed, though.
I'm not going to participate in this event since I don't fly either one of these groups.

However, before making any events, you should've talked with leaders of factions included. That's what events are meant for.

All this thread shows is that AE| ( whoever they are ) apparently have not even contacted faction they want to have event with. And thus your own faction is showing it has absolutely no honor towards intended opponent by showing no courtesy in organizing event.
Your comment is lame on many levels as a result of this.
I highly suggest to change such attitude into a more positive one.
Okay, now let me clear out a few things so we avoid demonizing of myself and IDFS|.

We are not going to make activity for the sake of activity. Despite the fact that we are a Gallic faction is activity is a fair challange, we won't go for activity grind in random manner. This particular event won't bring us interesting RP, fun or even the profit. Let's start with the simple fact that we yet don't have any armored transports that would fit this sort of gameplay, we are relying on 5kers. PvPing in transports is a very specific sort of thing, that very few people enjoy. We don't have or who would for example. Other thing is that mixed transport x snub brawl events have proven themselves not in the best way.

See that video as an example. Somewhen at the beginning of March we will start to introduce the liner/tourist RP, and kidnapping one can be actually interesting.

As far as I was informed, a discussion was held with the official representatives of Gaul. I base myself on these data and, thus, express my vision in this situation.
If this were not done - I am ready to apologize to those whom I insulted in my own words.

I ask you to refrain from such harsh words.
I prefer constructive criticism.

Thank you for explaining why our event was bad for IDF.

I want to say that we did not carry the goal of insulting anyone.
Our event was planned to bring fun to both parties.
It's a pity that it turned this way.
We will take into account our mistakes for the future.
I think there is no point in continuing the discussion.

Thank you all for your advice.

Thanks for a feedback.
Let me say, insulting or harassing community definitely isn't our goal. We had an idea to make slightly unusual event with the unusual faction.
A large mistake is an addition to rule list, where pirates cannot attack transports during combat, we understand all difficulties of fighting on transports. Also, as did explain above, indies are allowed too, not only factions.
