Constantinople Base

Overview

Constantinople Base is a depot built in 825 A.S. by a coalition of raiders from Lagos Depot and Petra Outpost aided by Custodi logistics fleet and defence squadrons in the Cyprus (Sigma-21) system. The goal of Constantinople is to defend Planet Nicosia (Saigon) from hostile influence while at the same time provide allies of the Corsairs and their allies with easy access to the planet's surface, notably the first colony of Coronia.

Custodi enforce a strict protection of the Nicosia atmosphere and no ships are allowed direct access to the planet. Interested colonists, merchants or travellers may instead enter through a regularly running ferry between Constantinople and Coronia.

Code of Conduct
  • All inhabitants, either permanent or temporary, are expected to behave in a civilised and non-violent manner on board.
  • No gunboat or larger combat vessels are permitted within a 5K spherical radius around the base for safety reasons without express permission. This restriction doesn't apply to Bustard-class and Corvo-class civilian ships as well as capital ships belonging to Custodi.
  • No ships carrying dangerous materials (such as Nuclear Devices, Cardamine, Nox, et cetera) are allowed docking with the base. Ships carrying these materials within a 10K spherical radius around the base will be demanded to drop their cargo, and if they do not comply, executed.
  • No ships may enter the atmosphere of Planet Nicosia without express permission.

Access

No unauthorised ships may access the Constantinople Base without prior message in this thread. The registration fee for individuals is 5'000'000 credits, while for organisations: 20'000'000 credits. Additionally, a return ticket for the Coronia ferry carries on it an additional fee of 5'000'000 credits per individual. Once the fee is forwarded to the account of C::Kalhmera, a request containing an individual's name, ship or organisation name/tag and a proof of neutral-positive diplomacy with the Corsairs can be sent for review. If successful, the individual or group will be added to the Constantinople Base docking list.
