“von Ravensberg”, during the days of Rheinlands Empire a respected and mighty name on Planet Hamburg. They were one of the noble families controlling the icy planet politically and militarily but with the fall of the empire their might also fell. The day Alise was born the family already had lost most of their power, only their wealth still remaining.
Alise grew up surrounded by her parents and grandparents at most of the time. Close to her third birthday her mother gave birth to her little sister, which was christened on the name Elisabeth after Alise´s recently passed away grandmother. They both were raised still having some of the old values and noble traditions in mind. Alise was not particularly pleased by the restrains it put on her especially in matters such as manners. This lead to Alise resisting her parents will very early on in her life and generally she seemed to only adopted certain manners that they taught, that she personally deemed interesting and useful for herself.
One day, in the year 816, during the early morning hours Alise and her sister were woken up by some loud shouts outside of their house. This day had changed the life of both, they are not quite remembering it themselves and they first heard the details later on from the person which saved their life on this day, Laurenz Weber. He was an old friend of their father and believed in the strength and necessarity of the nobility. On this fateful day it appeared that members of radical left group had broken into their home to get rid of the last still present noble family present on Hamburg. They only found Alise´s father and mother, the two siblings gone. Laurenz took the two girls off the Planet bringing them in safety. Alise now responsible for her little sister as they are the only family both of them still has, gave her best to make their life as comfortable as possible on board of Laurenz´s ship.
After a few years they arrived at Freeport 2 and decided to stay on-board the station for the time being. Alise had become quite weary of living on a ship, she wanted to have some change. With the money they still had with them, the money still the one that was still the one her father had given to them on the day they had fled. They quickly adapted to the life on Freeport 2, how to blast holes into pirates that could not keep their hands to themselves was one of the first thing she learned to do. In 825 she met Christoph Gneisenau, a member of the Alster Union. In bars one meets two kinds of people, the ones that are not worth your time, that talk and the ones which are worth your time. Christoph was the latter, he told Alise about the Union and their goals. Something in the words he spoke and she was not able to identify it herself made her decide to join the Union. Not only she but as she was now the head of the “von Ravensberg” family, she brought with her her little sister and Laurenz. Both will follow her to the depths of hell if it is necessary.
