Name of the Subject: Erica Weiss Abendroth
Rank: Reichsadmiral Syndicligakaiserflotte, der Directorate.
Age: 52, birthday undefined.
Gender: Female

Admiral Erica Weiss (she rarely uses the proper surname, formally or informally), is the first appointed Reichsadmiral of the newly created Syndic Union between the Unioners and the LWB, replacing the missing (at least, at the time of her appointment), Jennifer Soma.

Weiss comes from the institutional pedigree of both organisations. Whilst the Unioners are notably less dynastic than the LWB (an ironic quality considering the Unioner lionisation of the imperial era), she remains a daughter of the LWB’s founding Weiss family and a first cousin of the notorious Unioner Arbeitsdirektor Petra Abendroth, famed for firing the first organisationally sanctioned shot in anger between the Unioners and the Red Hessians over a decade ago. Nevertheless, Erica refuses any notion that she has inherited her position and appears uneasy in her role as the Weiss family’s formal representative in the service of the armed partisans.

Weiss is inherently a pragmatic strategist. She peruses her orders relentlessly and without self-contradiction. She simultaneously terrifies her underlings. She is exceptionally aggressive in strategic decision making, yet unflinchingly adherent to the chain of command. Weiss drills her fleet elements as if they were a professional outfit, encouraging “commerce raiding” as opposed to piracy. Whilst she encourages competitive and daring action within her subordinates she is opposed to personality cult. Weiss’s loyalty to the organisation is unbending and she will not debate rhetoric with others. Weiss is inherently an artefact of a life of separation away from banditry ensconced within the well-heeled echelons of the Unioners and the LWB, causing her to behave more like a ridged and unprincipled soldier than any other comportment. She is heavily reserved and inflexible in emotional portrayal and refuses to show personal vulnerability. It is unlikely that Weiss would succeed within any statist army due to her proclivity to execute underlings she views as a threat to herself and liberal exercise of her emergency powers. Few Unioners are genuinely totalitarian in outlook – Weiss is one of them. Yet Weiss is not without sympathy for the Unioners she commands – she will take daring risks to the personal safety of herself and her own assets to recover manpower over hardware.

Weiss carries an affinity for discipline and unconventional tactics. She leads from the cold plinth of command and cannot be considered a filial commander. Her men follow her due to the expectation of results, an inspirational leader type unalloyed by hero-worship. Weiss is straightlaced, mission-driven, unmotivated by revenge whilst simultaneously amoral. Weiss will directly order the destruction of civilian targets if it furthers the Syndicliga’s agenda.

Abendroth's command is not without its challenges. The legend of the so-called "Abendroth Curse" has stalked the militant partisan since the assassination of her more famous relative - she is considered an unlucky captain, fated to captain doomed fleets.
