Generalmajor.
An individual by the name of Megan Xei, who admits to being in the employ of multiple organizations, among which Bretonia is one among the list, recently reached out to me. Offering information in exchange for information and hardware, initially I provided her with the scythe blueprints she requested in order to pay her back, but as I perused our own databases, I encountered mission board postings by an individual known as the "Red Witch". They seemed potent, so I requested a briefing on them and for a meeting to be arranged, needless to say I wasn't expecting the price.
The trade for these specifics was information on you, I did what I had to do to ensure Frau Xei was pleased enough to grant the meeting, but I omitted observations that I felt were too.. insightful. For your reference, I have appended a cache of the information I relayed to them just before it's automatic deletion. I would have cleared this release with you beforehand but time was short and I needed to move on the opportunity quickly.
The Coalition and its reliance on mind-games.
I would say I'm surprised, but I'm not. For what I'm going to tell you I expect complete anonymity, no citing the contributing source of this information and no asking me to revise or repeat it. I'll tell you about Heinrich, or at least what I myself have had the ability to observe of her, rather obviously it's not going to be anything capable of bringing harm to her influence.
I've never been sure of what Heinrich's motivations are, but I assume she does have some given her level of conviction and occasional ruthlessness in carrying out the Hessian agenda, or at times, her agenda. As a Hessian, you follow her every word and work towards her approval, there is nothing else. As an enemy of the Hessen, you fear her, you dread the sight of the black wings of an Odin in your space. She influences the masses through fear, not just of threats left dormant but of swift and brutal violence.
She controls the space around her even in a neutral or friendly environment and is never without her detachment of personal guards. The sort that I would most likely fail to overcome in a direct confrontation unless I resorted to tactics that would most likely result in my own death as well as theirs. If disrespected or feeling insulted, Heinrich is perfectly capable of being an aggressive negotiator and will use her raw strength and intimidating presence to her advantage, letting the fear off-set the confidence of any overly paid Statesman.
Heinrich will occasionally lead her men in the field whenever she deems necessary, and in such instances she'll lead by example, often being the largest threat among the combating forces, she does not allow her position as the apex of Hessen authority to dull her skills as a weapon of war, that would be unwise of her. And though I have never observed any major weaknesses in the facade she upholds, she's only Human. And as of late I've not seen her without a strange apparatus attached to her face and mounted on her waist. As to what it is, I don't know, but perhaps her absence was more than a mere vacation and due to a credible threat on her life and stiff opposition from within her own ranks.
This is what I know, as for what I want in return for providing all of this is a meeting with the red menace herself, you may oversee it if you wish and I'd prefer if it didn't last longer than an hour, long enough for me to get a grip on her mentality and to learn what makes her tick, even if apparently chaotic by your own words. Madness often has method and where any form of order exists, I can study it.
This message in particular will self-delete, I hope you paid attention.
As usual I'm sure you're one step ahead, but as your friend and partner in the Coalition, I thought it wise to keep you in the loop of current affairs, unofficial as they may be. You continue to teach through example and I continue to learn.
Auf wiedersehen.
