Entry one
Project 554556
Location: IRG|Neumann - Omicron Kappa

This is going to be intresting. With the required funds provided by Ingenuus Evan was finally able to focus on the baxter object he studied for so long. His ship the Neumann just launched from Livadia shipyard where they refited the ship. Now that there was no need for a xenoarcheology and xenobiology lab they repurposed the decks containing them. He eagerly entered the ship's bridge, and made his way to the nearest console while D6 the trusty AI comandeered the ship through the void of Omicron Kappa. He brought up the file for BO554556 created a new entry.

Project 554556 entry. 6th of May 826 A.S.
After consulting with Dr.Wright we have come up with a theory that could explain the behaviour of BO554556. If Wright was able to acidentally end up in hyperspace for 3 months why shouldn't someone else be able to do it as well? If we go by that logic this means that BO554556 was artificially created in order to serve as a connection to normal space. Now we know for a fact that while entering hyperspace for a short period of time requires a lot of energy. In order to remain in hyperspace requires tremendous ammount of energy. Brad said himself the only reason they managed to do it was because they had 3 Ingenuus cores. The reason BO554556 exists is to obtain energy to remain in hyperspace. That would also explain why the object tends to appear mainly arround stars and why it is syphoning matter from them. Whatever is generating this object it quite literally works with solar energy. And the reason for the rest of the appearences could be to keep the real purpose hidden or simply some sort of miscalculation.

To go any further i will require special probes equipped with a jumpdrive to enter hyperspace. Now as the generators on the probes are way too weak to provide enough energy for the jumpdrive to even charge up let alone initiate a jump we will need to use Ingenuus cores to power the drive. Provided this is possible we will also need to think about a way to get the probes back. I thought about using hyperspace beacons, and for that we will have to install a hyperspace matrix on the ship. Untill the probes and the hyperspace matrix are not aboard the ship i will start surveying the places where BO554556 appeared in order to determine the best spot for deploying the probes.
