Luxury Spa and Cruise to Enter Budget Holiday Market

Orbital Spa and Cruise, famous for its luxury liners and holiday planet destinations, today unveiled its plans to enter the budget holiday package market with its subsidiary, PanGalactic Travel Ltd.

"We are expanding our cruise range to include modular holidays, partnering with planet side operators to deliver attractively priced holidays" says Donald Searsport, PanGalactic Director of Tourism. "With the open borders between Sirian houses and lifting of travel restrictions, there hasn't been a better time to enter the (package holiday) market. Continued peace between the 4 houses has encouraged sharing of culture and has planet-bound Sirians looking abroad for their yearly vacation." said Searsport.

PanGalactic will offer 3-4-star budget club "cruise and culture" packages targeted at younger holiday makers, couples, families, and OAP's. The proposed two-week package will include a return cruise aboard one of PanGalactic's newly fitted liners, and planet side accommodation and activity package provided by exclusive local partners. Whist PanGalactic admits not all destinations have been finalised, initial offerings of Planet Los Angeles to Planet Cambridge have been confirmed with pre-sale bookings set to launch next month.
"With the combination of new destinations and new services, we are ideally positioned to further extend our market leadership." Said Searsport.

In a statement, Orbital Spa and Cruise said it would "retain its distinct brand identity" continuing to provide seven-star service to its VIP clients, with PanGalactic operating separate routes to its parent company.

This announcement follows the luxury travel operator posting a 16% fall in year-on-year revenue in the 2nd quarter. The company blames losses on the continued Gallic conflict with Bretonia, and encroachment on Planet Curacao, it's premier luxury planet destination.

Pundits have speculated the decision to partner with local operators as a strategic move away from OSC's asset-heavy business model. In recent years, OSC have suffered significant losses, first with the damage of the Luxury Liner Shetland in the Gallic occupation of Edinburgh, followed by continued acts of terrorism on the OSC owned Planet Baden Baden by the infamous Landwirtrechtbewegung movement. Continued repair and growing defence expenses have led to poor financial performance, offsetting increases in turnover throughout the first half of the year.

Tourism to Honshu set to Rise with Cruise Stops, New Routes

Planet Honshu will welcome 4 cruise liners per month as PanGalactic Travel announces new cruising itineraries.

The Orbital Spa and Cruise subsidiary has recently unveiled it's 823 A.S itinerary, including destinations on Honshu, Los Angeles, Cambridge and Baden Baden.

PanGalactic will be partnering with Honshu based tour operator, Discover Shirahama to deliver budget holiday package deals.
Shirahama businesses are expressing their satisfaction with the increase in tourism forecasted to bring 8.2b per annum to the islands economy.

"With the efforts of the municipal authority, Shirahama has worked hard to be included on cruise companies' programs so that it can in turn promote the beauties of the oceanic planet" Said Discover Shirahama representative Kazuhiro Iijima. “We are making concentrated efforts to achieve the maximum possible tourist development of the island,” said Kazuhiro, adding that the strategy is now paying off, “thanks to the diversity of the island’s tourist product… the travel market is showing us its trust”.

Shirahama is Planet Honshu's southernmost island located at a latitude of 33° South. Whilst Planet Honshu is most known for its optronic factories, the temperate island is a holiday hotspot for Kishiro employees where the protected fish stocks have led to a large game fishing industry. Guests of PanGalactic will be able to enjoy all the highlights of the island – including charter fishing trips, traditional ryokan accommodation, fine Kusarian dining and the islands famed green sand beaches.

Donald Searsport, PanGalactic Director of Tourism praises the islands development, "Shirahama, and the Planet Honshu has a lot to offer to the culturally stranded middle class. PanGalactic looks forward to delivering the best of Kusari culture through its new partnership with Discover Shirahama."

Other operators on PanGalactic's new itinerary include; Exodus LA, TSH Cambridge and Baden Baden Spa & Cruise. A limited number of bookings have been opened for presale, with the general sale to proceed from the start of the month.

PGL-Winfield Refit Specs:
OSC Under Fire Over Lack of Weapons

Leaked refit specifications for PanGalactic's newest liner have led to criticism over cost cutting, including a lack of armament.

The PGL-Winfield, formally Liberty prison liner XT-19, will launch for flight tests on May 21 with only two Lyre point defence turrets and minimal hull armour. Critics of the new budget travel operator have called out parent company; Orbital Spa and Cruise for an apparent disregard of passenger safety.

"The proposed route sends the liner through independent systems, many of which are home to lawless rebel organisations" Says Bounty Hunter Sal Paradise. "Take the Kepler system. PanGalactic want to take Kusari tourists through that hostile, Xeno infested waste without any means to defend themselves? And don't get me started on Gallia knocking on OSC's door in the Cortez system. The decision to cut costs on protection shows utter contempt for the safety of passengers."

The liner refit, performed by DSE's Baltimore Shipyard, removed a number of structural bulkheads, including hard points that were essential for carrying the ships defensive artillery. Plans show this was done to increase passenger capacity beyond that of the liners previous role as a mobile prison. Additionally, the ship's hull reinforcement has been reduced with damage protection traded for noise and vibration insulation.

"The only enemies we have here at PanGalactic are stress and boredom, and we're fully equipped to combat those foes" said PanGalactic chief stewardess Alana Heart. Miss Heart cited shopping, holocinema and zero-g rides as just some of the activities on offer aboard the liner.

PanGalactic Rocks the Boat as New Cruise Liner PGL-Winfield is Launched from Baltimore

The new flagship of PanGalactic's fleet, PGL-Winfield, was officially welcomed by the cruise line today in a launching ceremony held at Baltimore Shipyard, New York.

The Luxury Liner's Godmother - actor and philanthropist, Calista Wayy presided over the official naming ceremony and blessing. The former Liberty prison liner XT-19, will deliver PanGalactic's recently launched brand of budget vacations.

"We want to provide experiences that consistently exceed guest expectations for value." Said Director of Tourism, Donald Searsport. "This new liner is the first step to answering the demand for cultural experiences among the fastest growing segments in the vacation industry."

The extensive refit of the prison liner is designed to make space travel accessible for all, with 70% of its 3000 capacity passenger cabins offering interstellar viewing. Targeting families, the liner provides adaptable modular cabins that can be expanded for up to 10 guests. One of the entertainment highlights is the 50-meter centripetal swimming pool, housed in a rotating drum. This area can be used to provide variable gravity for those that have never left the planet surface.

"DSE has been brilliant from the start in adapting the vessel." Said Searsport, commenting on the refit. "The most difficult part was working out the light hardpoints… In fact, I'm still not sure purple will be our permanent colour!"

The PGL-Winfield will depart Baltimore on the 21st of May, to perform flight tests before undergoing its maiden voyage from Planet Los Angeles to Planet Cambridge.
