"Narita Outpost, in its historical role as the trade hub for international trade in the heart of Kusari, naturally attracts a lot of foreign travelers and workers. Crews from newly arrived freighter ships, and staff from local offices give Narita a very concentrated cosmopolitan feel. Consequently, Narita main food court is adequately represented with various providers of food from around Sirius. Uncommon Gallic restaurants operating under some exotic Chef name, to Galaxy wide known store franchises from Bretonia and Liberty, a visitor would can spends a few weeks experimenting the options that are present on the Outpost without repeating once."

Our focus today however, is a more mundane establishment. Obfuscated between two extravagant big fronts of large family restaurants, stands a small entrance with a sliding door. On the noren curtain covering the entrance, one can find the name Ueno written on it, and on the door the sign "currently in business".

Within the Ueno

The within the door one finds a small establishment, built around a U shaped counter from which the cook and bartenders operate. A customer can find 15 seats surrounding the counter, and usually only one or two customers partaking in drinks or some light meal.

On the right side, a set of tables for four are set against the wall, a total of 3 from the entrance to the far wall. The bartender keeps a few foldable chairs in case a larger group is sitting on the side tables.
On the left side, a smaller space runs behind the counter seats all the way to the washroom and pantry.

All over the walls there are vintage Kusari posters and menus of the house, from drinks to common delicacies from izakaya. From grilled meats and fish, Oden boiled foods, to some ramen and udon dishes. Strangely, some unusual things, like Rheinlander wieners and Omelettes are also included on the menu.

Additionally, on some points of the wall one can find a small "we are hiring" ads for the store itself.

//The bartender might know some interesting rumors, or where to contact someone. His information is not for free though.
A young woman soon entered, in rather casual attire. Looking over the place upon entering, taking a seat at the bar.

"I should visit these cozy places more often.." She mumbled to herself, observing her surroundings before ordering a light drink. The young woman, at first glance, didn't appear to be anyone of note. Her background would be deceptive to her looks. "Wonder what kind of clientele places like this usually have."
The sliding doors rattled as a new customer arrived, a woman in her twenties in plain clothes and a small bag. She looked around, and failing to find the people she was to meet there, followed the greetings of the bartender to take a seat at the counter.

Konomi Nachi set her bag aside, and took her neural pad to check for messages, but the indicator came out empty. "She's gonna be late again uh?..." she muttered, followed by a sigh. Nachi ordered a beer, and savored it while waiting for her company.
Once again the doors opened, a man around his forties entered the establishment.
Kojima Orochi was wearing the typical uniform of a Kaigun-shōshō of the Imperial Navy alongside a long fitting coat. Several medals were decorating his chest. He was also coming in still armed with a Wakizashi, likely a family gift, and a small side arm.

He sighed weakly, letting his view go around the room for a short while before he approached the bartender. After a brief conversation he was handing the bartender the side arm but only hid the sword beneath the coat. With a short nod he thanked the bartender, already ordered himself a non-alcoholic drink and sat down at the counter, close to the exit. A swift look at his watch, no orders, no messages. For once some time to relax. During this moment of thinking, his drink already arrived, a quick nod and thanks towards the bartender before he was asked what vessel he commands, he leaned a bit closer to the bartender: "The Nagato, a Tokugawa. It is holding position unfar from here." ...

The silver haired woman peered over at the uniformed man, a little curious why they were here. Then again, this isn't a place many people would be barred from. Nevertheless, she intended to make it a point to not involved work, after all, it's best to separate work and home life. The young woman was dressed normalish, wearing a tshirt, purple hoodie and black cargo pants. Her intention was that no one from her work would recognize her.

She ordered another drink, still peering at the decorated Kaigun. She was somewhat jealous of his medals, despite having plenty of her own, but that was from the past, not the present. "Do people of your stature usually visit quiet places like this?" She spoked up, directing her question to the man while taking a sip of sake.
Orochi's perception did not betray him afterall. He was quietly watching the young woman's movements, wondering when she finally found the courage to speak up. When she finally did, he let his serious face drop for a moment, giving her a weak smile. "At times, at times. Getting off the bridge to enjoy a break in places like this is great." He took a small sip of his drink, watching her. This voice, he was quite sure he heard it before already.

Despite her kind demeanor, she certainly didn't look like the type a respected officer would notice, let alone hear her voice. Her hair was a bright silver, unusually, golden eyes, and a accent mixed of Libertonian and Kusarian. Despite the scar on her right cheek from a knife attack, she seemed a simple girl, enjoying a bit of time to herself in a quiet place. At first glance, she was certainly not a woman that would garner recognition from a man of Orochi's stature.

"Small breaks are wonderful.. must be a very stressful job.." She muttered, taking another sip. Infact she had heard the mans voice before. Very recently infact, aboard the same Nagato she had seen while aboard the Yubari. But she wasn't going to let herself slip, unless he had guessed ofcourse. She blended in well with the locals, not much reason to think her an officer, let alone anyone of importance, aside from the familiar voice.
Orochi was simply giving the woman a smile. After a while of barely hidden checking her appearance and reconsidering his first idea about asking her if she was working on the Yubari, he just raised his glass. "On a good break!" He said and smirked shortly. To his own surprise, another familiar face entered the bar before he could reply to the woman's comment regarding his job. Kojima Isamu was walking towards Orochi with fast steps, a swift quiet word exchange and he was gone already again, leaving a piece of paper behind which Orochi quickly hid in his uniforms pocket.

"Mmh? What was it earlier? Stressful.. hai? - Well, it could be worse. Could still be shooting my old comrades, you know, I prefer anything over this."

The door chimed as another person, this time a guy with a plain shirt and some worker trousers entered. Sporting a slicked back hairstyle, one could say he looked like a thug, if not for the pretty face and sort of tired expression, likely due to hunger.

Picking his seat, he decided to go to the opposite side of the of the chatty pair with the military brass, and approached the quiet and pretty miss who had just taken a sip of a beer in silence.

"Hey there miss, is that seat taken?" Seiyou Jiro asked the woman, who seemed she had been pulled from her daze.
"Ah, no. Please go ahead." Nachi replied, while moving her stuff to the other side, so as to keep a seat for her yet to arrive friend.
"Ah, good. Sankyuu." Jiro returned the comment and took the seat, barely noticing the small chuckle that her neighbor gave out as reaction.

"Ugh, what a day to be running around. Hey master, a tempura udon and a grape chuhai please. Got a hunger to kill here."
