Welcome to the Kusari State Police about us page.


Primary Objectives:
1. To protect the constitution from threats both foreign and domestic
2. To uphold the laws of Kusari in space and on the ground.
3. Protection of civilian assets in Kusari space

Secondary objective
1. Assist the military in operations at their request and at police discretion.
2. Liaison with civilian entities in order to better fulfill the primary objectives.
3. Maintain budgetary discipline.

Section I: Our History

The Kusari State Police has always existed in one form of another since the founding of Kusari, though it may have taken different forms at different times. Starting with the earliest foundations in 4 AS when the sleeper ship arrived in our space, and evolving out of the former Alliance security officers on board that continued their duties after awakening from cryosleep, the police services have always maintained vigil over the law of House Kusari.

Originally concerned only with station and terrestial bound duties, in the late 5th century AS the Kusari Police Force established its first ever flight wing, as the necessities of conflict forced the Kusari Naval Forces to focus its efforts elsewhere, and it was not long before a full transfer of responsibility was made. Today, Kusari State Police remain the exclusive enforcers of law and customs in Kusari space, while the proud members of our Naval Forces focus on greater threats from outside.

After the recent civil war period and the establishment of the Diet, the police service has reformed along with the rest of the Empire to better represent a newer, more modern force, with the laws being penned by the Diet, and a new oath to uphold the constitution of the Empire and its laws.

Section II: Our Mission

What is the Kusari State Police today?

Operating in every system claimed by Kusari, the Kusari State Police acts as the civil face of Kusari, reminding both citizen and guest of our laws and traditions. Whether patrolling the well lit streets of New Tokyo or the trade lanes of Shikoku, Kusari State Police forces are the first and last line against internal and external non-civil threats.

But that does not mean that the Police are anything like some of the other houses! Kusari police are first and foremost members of our communities, and are tasked with ongoing efforts across our space to help improve the communities they live and work with.

The Kusari Police focus on three important and vital missions for the people of Kusari.

1. To uphold the new government and constitution: In order to remain a civil and open society, and to prevent the tragedy of another civil war, especially in these dangerous times, every police officer of the Kusari State Police, from the prefecture commanders to the officer on the street, has sworn an oath to uphold the constitution of our new empire, to obey the directives of the SPSC, and to implement the practical application of the laws of the Diet.

2. To encourage and safeguard trade within Kusari space: Trade is the lifeblood of any house, and Kusari is no different in that regard. Whether it be intrasystem, intersystem, or interhouse trade, the Kusari State Police operates on the ground and in the skies to maintain open, safe, and lawful trade routes. Police customs agents on stations and planets throughout our space ensure safe cargo handling and enforcement, while the space patrol ships ensure that trade lanes remain open and protected, and dangerous and illegal cargo is interdicted and its dealers dealt with in the legal system.

3. To maintain the safety and civility of the population of Kusari: Kusari is growing, with people of many ethnic backgrounds beginning to come into our space. Whether they are visitors, those fleeing conflict, or simply those looking for a better life in Kusari space, the Kusari Police have sworn to uphold the law and safety of the civilian population of Kusari. Further, the Kusari Police are often one of the major links between foreigners and Kusari, and take it as part of our responsibility to help them adapt and thrive in this new environment.

Section III: Our Future

What's next for the Kusari Police?

While maintaining our traditions, it has been acknowledged and is important to realize that we must adapt to a changing world. The Kusari State Police endeavors to be the spear tip for this ideal.

To that end, the Kusari Police prefecture commanders have voted to make the Kusari Police one of the most cutting edge police forces in the Sirius sector. While other police forces may rely on brutality and numbers to enforce the law, the Kusari Police understand the importance of working more efficiently and effectively.

Further, with the makeup of Kusari having changed, and the new government in place, it has been decided to implement some new and exciting changes to our system. Keep an eye out in the news for exciting and important announcements regarding the Kusari State Police force!

As upholders of the Kusari constitution and Diet, the Kusari State Police are friends to all of those who are friends of Kusari, and enemies of all those who oppose the Government.
