I've made a list of the top guns by DPS for peoples use. I took their damage and multiplied it out by the refire rate to my results. I put the best for each refire rate on each class of gun, and I also put in the best for matching projectile speeds. In case you wanted to match them all up so all your guns shot at 600m/s. I also added in the two shield breakers from Class 9 with their info so you can relate it to your other guns.

The format is as follows

While I applaud your effort in this matter, I feel that such a list is more appropriate for a pure PvP server, not the RP server this forum is dedicated to. In general, players are limited to weapons belonging to their chosen faction, not what happens to do the most damage per second.

By the way, you forgot to factor in the energy drain firing a set of these imposes on your ship. For that matter, you neglected the class 10 shield breaker the corsairs have...
Not to mention the guns with the highest DPS have the lowest refire rate, meaning you are less likely to hit with them.
I'm just posting it for your interest. There are a wide variety of factions that sell those guns. So you can fit it into your role playing needs.

Also keep in mind that the stronger guns used by the pirates are weaker against some shields. Research that too.
Weapons usefulness is based on more than just DPS. There is also projectile speed and energy consumption to consider. Firekiss, for example, are probably one of the worst class 9 guns because of their low projectile speed.

And Del STILL had to ask for Dragonflies with that kind of Damage!?!
Debilitators, Tizonas and Coladas all fire at 4.00.
Actually, I'm pretty sure that Tizonas fire 5.88 or something (Well, the turrets do anyway).
Everything I got was from the Wiki site. So... by all means. Blame that. I've been trying to update it whenever I get a chance. Some help would be nice. :wacko:

Tizona turrets are 5.00.

Weapon type has less of an impact on your ability to break shields than most would like to think, even with a full Firekiss loadout, you still have more trouble breaking a class 10 VHF graviton than if you had debs.

I must concur that this information would be more useful were it added to the wiki and combined with the stats already there.
