You may be having the same issue as I was; if that is the case, Laz has a fix ready but the update hasn't gone out yet. We just have to patiently wait, I'm afraid. They'll get it sorted soon.
I have just posted a temporary solution to the Discovery Discord. Try that and let me know how it goes.

dsselfpatch saying i have the latest version(211) and aborts. the launcher still having xms-error, and with shortcut i cant start the game, i not have latest update....

yes, i replaced the launcherconfig, its 2kb now
now its saying i have last version (212), but its not happened, while updating my AVG antivir prg gave alert, i aborted the program and tried again, and now its thinking i have latest update.....but i have not.
