Team start Locations:

Unioner-Hessian Mixed Forces <Opportunity Raiders> Stuttgart Jumpgate, New Berlin System

Republican Shipping traders and Federal Marine Escort <Federal Civil Defence Front FCDF> Wuppertal Refinery, Cologne System

Roleplay Basis:

Fuel is the lifeblood of the Sirius Sector and the primary driver of the Sirian Economy. With terawatts of power generated and consumed by the hypersophisticated computers and energy projection systems of modern Sirian Technology, the most basic building blocks of power production have become vital resources, crafting fortunes of dependency equivilent only to pre-FTL Humanity's Fossil Fuel Epoch.

Rhineland, locked in an intensifying border conflict with Kusari and the GMG, depends upon many thousands of units of fuel flowing upstream from southern Rheinland to the cosmic north. Much of this fuel is produced at the ALG's Wuppertal Refinery, a station that has produced a vast net profit for the corporation in only a minimal timeframe.

Rheinland MOX contains higher concentrations of Thorium than its Bretonian counterparts, once produced in vast quantities at the LD-14 mining station. As Bretonia's production has stalled, Rheinland has taken up the shortfall, producing vast quantities of its Thorium MOX for high temperature fission reactors. Within the underworld, the Unioners are also known to be the primary counter-cultural manufacturers of Thorium MOX, employing the fuel widely in any number of shipboard processes. MOX fuel piles comes in a variety of grains and variants, some of which is considered a state secret.

Lacking the vast investment of ALG, the Unioners frequently attempt to steal MOX shipments to ensure their fuel piles maintain pace with that of the overworld. Usually, the robberies are minor, easily covered for by insurers.

The largest consumers of fuel in the Rheinland Underworld are the Red Hessians. Tensions between the Unioners and the Hessians have stalled fuel trading since the end of the Nomad War, however the Unioners appear to be tentatively experimenting with retailing fuel stockpiles to the Hessian Army.

A convoy of Republican Shipping transports is due to pass through the Stuttgart - New Berlin jump connection, freshly loaded with fuel piles from the ALG's Wuppertal Refinery in Cologne. The fuel represents the reserves for the Rheinland MIlitary's Cruiser force aboard Wichter station for the next three weeks, and has accordingly been reinforced with several home defence wings.

The Unioners and the Hessians have agreed to an impromptu joint strike against the Convoy, hoping to catch the transports off guard at the Stuttgart Jumpgate. With the Unioners keen to update their own MOX formulations and embarrass Republican's executive board, and the Hessians keen to resupply their forces after the occupation of Dresden, the two factions have agreed to a temporary cooperation in their traditional overlapping zone of criminality along the Stuttgart trade artery.

Event Phase 1:

- The Lawfuls, including Republican, will form a convoy and escorts at the Wuppertal Refinery, Cologne. The Transports will be filled with Thorium MOX. The Unlawfuls will wait for the Convoy at the Stuttgart Jumpgate.

- The Lawfuls will proceed towards Wildau Station, New Berlin.

- The Unlawfuls will intercept and engage the lawfuls as they exit the Stuttgart Jumpgate, New Berlin System.

- The Unioners and Hessians will attempt to wipe out the Convoy escorts. They cannot engage the Transports. The Transports may assist in combat, but cannot leave the combat area.

- If the Rheinlandic lawful forces hold the Hessians and Unioners off, the Lawfuls succeed. If the Lawfuls do not succeed, the event moves to phase two. All Republican transports will stop firing, moving, and will drop their shields.

Event Phase 2:

- A Unioner transport will relog and enter the combat area.

- All lawfuls will stay out of the combat area until Republican Shipping has finished its piracy RP with the unlawfuls.

- A system message will be given indicating the RP has concluded. All dead lawfuls and unlawfuls can now respawn for one time only.

- The Unioners and the Hessians must escort the Unioner transport carrying the MOX to Wedel Mining Facility, Hamburg. They may use any route and any method.

- The Lawfuls must attempt to destroy the transport. If the transport reaches Wedel Mining Facility, the Unlawfuls win the event, and the MOX is divided between the Hessians and the Unioners.

Event Rules:

All Lawful Forces will enter the New Berlin system in escort of the Republican Transports, from the Cologne System. They will be engaged by joint Unioner - Hessian forces. If the Unioner - Hessian forces destroy all lawful escorts, they will sucessfully pirate the MOX. The Unioners and Hessians will then attempt to escort the MOX to Wedel, Hamburg, during which time the Rheinland Military can attempt to destroy the transport.

Hessian and Unioner rules =

Can shoot any Lawfuls in the area. Cannot shoot the Republican Shipping transports. Can Relog and re-engage if the Unioners have secured the fuel.

Republican Shipping Rules =

Can assist against the fighters until all surrounding Lawfuls are destroyed. The Republican shipping transports must then Surrender, and cut their engines. Once the MOX has been stolen, RS can log fighters and bombers to try to hunt the MOX.

General Unlawful rules =

Unioner Transport Rules = One Unioner can relog onto a Unioner transport, stationed at Kreuzberg, to collect the MOX from one of the Republican transports post surrender.

Event Consequences:

Complete Federal Victory (Phase 1 Lawful Victory) :

The Rheinland Federal Republic has demonstrated a capacity to protect its vital supply lanes from even internal security threats during a time of war. Confidence in the military, goverment, and corporations in domestic security matters has intensified despite present security concerns. Republican is likely to gain additional fuel contracts in the future. In the underworld, the failure of the joint Unioner - Hessian raid has biased the organsiations to persuing seperated operations, at least during the short term. Piracy in New Berlin is likely to be less co-ordinated for the forseeable future, easing strain on Federal First Responders.

Damage Control (Phase 1 Unlawful Victory, Phase 2 Lawful Victory) :

Whilst the loss of fuel will be a definite disruption to anti-insurgency operations around the south of Berlin, the Republic has prevented the Rheinland underworld from securing high quality nuclear fuel. Whilst the return on investment for the Unioners and the Hessians is doubtful, there is at least the awareness that the raid will have weakened popular confidence in the government to provide security for corporate and state interests within the capital system, benefiting both the Unioners and the Hessians to some degree. The overall status quo is highly unlikely to change.

Successful Heist (Phase 1 and 2 Unlawful Victories) :

In an Audacious raid, the Unioners and the Red Hessians have made off with enough nuclear fuel to power a dreadnought for fifty years. Unioner raiding parties are likely to increase in their reach due to their improved fuel piles, whilst the fuel will be extremely helpful for the Red Hessians seeking to regroup after their occupation of Dresden. Wildau will be forced to order additional fuel, taxing goverment budgets. At least Republican shipping will benefit from the additional contracts, if not the loss of public relations.

// Good luck. Details to be refined with faction leaders.

// Slot registry isn't needed, but it'd be good if you message your participation below so we can gauge numbers.
I'll probably be here for this, not sure on which side.
I'll be around for this.
Should be around for this event, either as RM snub or as RS transport.
An instance of the first Question shall be there in: <RS>|RTS-Svartalfheim.

P.S. Updates coming in near future.
Uncertain if I'll be around for this, just checked a few things might be busy in the evening.
Would people prefer if this event was on saturday?
