Détails de l'opération:

The Bretonians and their allies have declared the war against the Independent Miner Guild. They want to take Aland Shipyard in Omega-3 in the matter to build new warships and to remplace the fallen Southampton Shipyard. Their agressive actions are the proof that Bretonia is about to collapse completely. Now it is time to give the fatal blow. While our forces are gathering in New London for the final offensive that will decide the fate of our Royaume, the Bretonians are trying to find solutions if their capital system would fall.

It is vital to make the Bretonians fail in their action to take Aland. Otherwise, we will have to face more difficulties. The Indpendent Miner Guild is trying to resist but the shipyard still can be captured in a short time. Our enemy had to send a whole Battlegroup in Omega-3 to accomplish their mission. Even if they suffered already losses, this won't stop them. The miners are under and suffering an enourmous pression. They asked our help, as they have been betrayed by their old friends. We will give them a hand.

I personally made a plan with the Independent Miner Guild in order to give them some time and force the Bretonians to bring back their forces in Cambridge. This system is weakened since the departure of the Norfolk Battlegroup in Omega-3. Strike fast and well in Cambridge, in the back of Bretonians is something they don't expect. Our scouts found a jump hole in New London which leads directly to a secure place in Cambridge.

Step 1 - Reach the passage to Cambridge

For this opération, the Task Force Eclipse leaded by the RNS-Sombre Destin will have to reach Cambridge. The first step of the opération is consisting to reach the jump hole located in West of New London behind the enemy lines. This part is risky as we can be detected at any moment. To avoid that kind of annoyance, we will fly above the asteroids field. Thus it will be difficult for the Bretonians to detect our large forces. If needed, another group of fighters and bombers can harass the enemy positions near the capital planet and makes easier our departure.

Once in Cambridge, the easier would have been done. We appear in the North of the system, again in an asteroids field. The probability of our detection by the local enemy forces are low. Then we won't have any difficulties to go on our target: a little installation near the Ross Planetoid in F5. The installation is not defended and there is no other bases around. As the Norfolk Battlegroup is in Omega-3, it will need time to come back in Cambridge.

Step 2 - Attack the Ross Planetoid

There is no interest to fight the Norfolk Battlegroup. Even the presence of the Sombre Destin won't change the outcome. Our forces avalaible are limited. Our time aswell. Our only advantage is the surprise effect. Damage or destroy the installation and then retreat. The simple effect to see a Gallic Task Force in Cambridge will make the Bretonian High Command worried. Their forces are weak. We cannot let pass this opportunity. Once the work done, the fighters and bombers will have to retreat until the New London jump hole. They need though to help the Sombre Destin escape first, a thing that will be easy if our fighters assure a basic protection.

This mission is audacious. But tell you once in Cambridge, you can change the history. The Roi is with us gentlemen! Make him proud of you!

Résultats de l'opération:

The Opération Eclipse has been launched the Friday 22th of March. With a fleet leaded by the RNS-Sombre Destin we broke the defense lines in New London and jumped into Cambridge. Our fleet finally reached the little Bretonian installation and managed to damage it.

Though this Opération came too late for the Independant Guild. Less of 24 hours after this, the Bretonians captured by dishonorable methods Aland Shipyard. Though we know that Cambridge is a weakened system and a large fleet is able to go there and execute surprise attacks. This information is valuable for the future.

La Marine Royale didn't suffer losses for this Opération. Same for the Bretonians. We were simply running out of time. Tactically, this opération has been a success!
