Those Official Factions that were warned once already within the last two checks and have also failed this check, have lost their Officialdom and will be removed from the Tracker.

Those Official Factions that failed the last check, but passed this check will be taken off the Warning if they proceed to pass the next Quarterly Check.

Those Official Factions that have failed the Quarterly Check, for the first time, are now under Warning and will have to meet the minimum requirement for the next two Checks.

Those Official Factions that have achieved a Second Pass are now off the Warning.

The factions that are not on the list have achieved sufficient activity and have passed the check.
This system does not work and needs an overhaul before we kill off any more factions.
I agree with lyth tbh

Elaborate.
I think it's been made more lenient towards factions, as 3 Days in a quarter is not hard to achieve, compared to the 1d per month requirement which was even more harsh.

Few factions achieved 3 days worth of activity in AFKing around systems in last week of quarter.

A lot of factions see the activity tracker as a chore and even though there's generally little interest in flying they grind the time to ensure their survival, usually landing barely within the 1day/month of activity, yeah.

Lack of activity is part of a wider issue. We flog factions based on an arbitrary number instead of tackling issues at their root: WHY are these factions not meeting the activity requirement? WHAT could be done to ensure they do next time? Whilst good leadership is instrumental in keeping factions alive, you can't expect leaders to stick around forever, or to be motivated forever either (I'll never be as energetic as I was in 2015/2016).

As other people state, all lowering the activity requirement does is create more room for people to hog activity spots and lazily grind for the activity they need to make the cut. The entirety of a faction could pretty much vacate the community for another game, but as long as one dude grinds activtiy in a ship somewhere by himself they can keep the faction official - how is that healthy?

Activity requirements are just a lazy band-aid. It's a chore, and doesn't make the activity, development, gameplay and roleplay issues dying factions are struggling with go away.
If you find that playing the game is a grind or a chore then go do something else.
The same old debate as every quarter under this thread. So how about be little constructive this time and try at least propose some better system when you call for it that much. Basic requirements: should be transparent with as little space for bias as possible (thus should have at least some objective factors in it) and at the same time should not be awfully time-consuming because the staff has already a lot on its plate (reminder - there are more than fifty official factions which will have to be evaluated).

Go!

So we have more factions than players online? Maybe that's part of the problem.
