Hello,

Speaking on behalf of the Lane Hackers, we have begun to pry into the military actions of Rheinland against Kusari. As natives to Kusari and allies of the Lane Hackers, we were wondering if you could inform us of the extent to which the war has gone in Kusari and if this will create anymore serious complications than it already has. What we interpreted as an attack is now being referred to by many as an "invasion" and we would like to know if this is the case.

Konbanwa, Master Assassin Wolfe.

We keep the situation in the Sigmas and Honshu under close control, it is indeed true that the border conflict developed itself into a hostile invasion into Kusari Core territory. You will find a detailed list of our information below.

⧫ The Rheinlander's Advance

As you are aware, the conflict started in the Sigma-21 system, also labelled Shizuoka by the Kusari State, with the destruction of a GMG outpost and a Kishiro Liner, both installations staffed for and preparing the colonization of Planet Saigon. Following the counterattack by the Imperial Navy of Kusari, the conflict slowly started to escalate. The stagnant battlefield suddenly changed after the Rheinland Military started a major offensive to stop Kusari and Ageira's effort in building a Jumpgate connection between the Honshu and the Shizuoka system. Details regarding this will follow below.
The strike forces of the Rheinlanders consisted of 4 Battlegroups, each with their respective Battleship as Flagship. The Battleships are the Westfalen, the Kolleda, the Strausberg and the Bayern. Locations of three of the Battlegroups are known. The location of the Bayern remains unknown, all that is known, is that it's location is thought to be within the Hiryo Cloud in Honshu. The Battlegroups Bayern and Westfalen pushed the spearheading force of the Imperial Navy, the Battleship Hyono and its Battlegroup, back to Honshu.
We will add details regarding the known locations of the three other Flagships:

Clearly the position of the Westfalen makes it an easy target. It is to be assumed that the Imperial Navy aims to strike against it as soon as possible before it can relocate.

⧫ The Imperial Navy's Reaction

Naturally, the Imperial Navy, following its traditions, cannot live with the shame of retreat and reacted rather quickly. The Hyono Battlegroup and the battle hardened Nagasaki Battlegroup are currently holding position in Honshu. Additionally, several Komainu-class Battlecruisers and Takeda-class Destroyers can be spotted throughout the system. Notable is the sudden disappearance of the Yamaguchi Battlegroup from Kyushu. We lost track of them when they approached the New Tokyo Jumpgate in Kyushu. It can be taken for sure that this Battlegroup is boosting the defense line in Honshu, its location remains unknown.
The locations of the Hyono and the Nagasaki Battlegroups, as well as two of the small strike groups, led by a Komainu-class, will be attached below.

With the presence of likely three Battlegroups in the Honshu system, the Imperial Navy should be able to withstand the Rheinlanders assault for long, especially given the proximity of the Yukawa Shipyard to the frontline. Despite its focus on civilian ships, it is deemed likely that it will be used for emergency repairs in the near future. Regarding the Battlegroups remaining in the rest of Kusari, it is seen as unlikely by us that the Matsumoto or the Myoko will be called to the front as well.

⧫ The Sigma-21 Gate

We see the construction of the Gate as the trigger for the Rheinlander's "Blitzkrieg" methods. The construction site in Shizuoka was destroyed, ship wreckages are floating around. It is unknown to us if Ageira and DSE personnel was slaughtered when the Rheinlanders destroyed the installation. We are also not sure if any valuable parts could be salvaged, given it appears the site had been in an early stage.
The construction site in Honshu is fully operational, the Gate seemingly intact. Automated defenses still work but it is unlikely that DSE or Ageira personnel is present, given the insecurity regarding the Bayern's location.

We suppose that this is far more information than you asked for, but hopefully it will give the Lane Hackers a good idea of how the war is taking place. In addition to the information provided, we wish to inform the Lane Hackers, that despite the National Council's deal with the Federal Republic of Rheinland, the Golden Chrysanthemums start to act against the Rheinlanders effort in the Honshu system on a small scale. We have a considerable amount of people on Planet Honshu's surface, abandoning our hideouts and strongholds there is out of question. If you require additional information, do not hesitate to contact us. I hope this is helpful, but we would like to know the reasons behind the Lane Hacker's sudden interest in the progress of the Sigma conflict.

Signed, Aimi Amaia, inner circle, スパイ.

Miss Amaia,

The information provided is more than substantial and confirms my suspicions. This inquiry was done following a very odd and worrying set of events closer to our borders in Rheinland. The event caused many in the inner circle to question how it was possible, now we know why it was.

If you have visual evidence of military-scale cooperation between the National Council and the Rheinland Military or the MND, I would request this information to be sent to me immediately.

Kon'nichiwa.

I suppose whatever events occured, must have followed the absence of the Westfalen in the Hamburg system?Anyway, regarding the National Council. Their deal with the Federal Republic of Rheinland is mainly through monetary means. We did not spot any vessels belonging to the National Council aiding the Rheinlanders against the Imperial Navy of Kusari so far. Our last conversation with the National Council on this topic has been during the earliest stages of the conflict though, it might be time to get a status update from their side.

That is all I can provide you regarding this, but we will keep you in mind and inform you if we spot any direct involvement from their side.
