In the face of quite recent events in Omicron Alpha, the Legion humbly requests any information the Cadiz Cartel may provide on the Maltese Opposition Army (MOA for short). Any information you have about their allies, supporters, comrades as well as about any of their acts against the Maltese and our close allies. Their pilots have attempted to claim innocence from the crimes they have been accused of and while we are quite skeptical about anything that comes out of their mouths to be truth, we would still like to consult with your organisation regarding any information that could be provided against the MOA's claims. I will be attaching blackbox audio logs below of our encounter with the "revolutionaries" as I believe transparency would be a valuable thing to have if we are to judge the severity of their crimes against Malta and our people.

I send best regards to you personally and the Legion overall. Your fame precedes you, as does your beauty. I heard of recent developments with the MOA near Malta and it pleases me the Legion takes active postition against this rebellious scum. Since I took part in engagements against MOA on "Valladolid" personally, mi Padre recommended me to send this report.

As of now, there are a few things we are certain about the MOA, yet we cannot provide a comprehensive report as their actions are chaotic and do not bear a pattern, neither their words are cohesive.

First things first, we can recourse to their intentions to get the picture on what they want. This is the link to our diplomatic channel and MOA's "ultimatum". Let us, Señorita Valdez, look at what they demand of our Cartel which, de facto, represents the interests of Malta:

We want you to stop exporting and importing Cardamine in and out of Malta.
We want you to apologize for shooting at our men.
We want you to give us docking access to your station.
We want you to promisse your life and work to the Maltese Opposition Army.

Aside from the fact that poor imbeciles do not, apparently, know what "diplomacy" stands for, these "demands" reveal us two points. Namely, demand 1 and demand 4.

Demand 1 requires us to stop Cardamine trade. It is well-known that Cardamine is one of the source of income for the whole planet of Malta and the basis of our not yet diversified economy. Ceasing it means inflicting serious economic damage to millions of Maltese citizens whose trade depends on the export of Cardamine and influx of foreign capital that we receive instead. Moreover, it means voluntary cessation of relations wit hour Allies of Golden Chrysanthemums and Lane Hackers, the lives of many of whom depend on steady supply of cardamine because of the developed addiction. Such a move would be considered as hostile and deprive Malta of its strategic "Orange Treaty" allies. As we will discuss thereafter, MOA are targeting ships carrying Cardamine out of Maltese space that belong to other factions as well. The implications? Millions of people losing their steady source of income, economic stagnation and diplomatic isolation of Malta, internal chaos and instability. If the MOA seek to make the life of every Maltese better, they either intentionally lying to bring upon the chaos that will avail them to capture the power, or they are ignorant and dumb enough to believe that their actions would benefit Malta.

Let us recourse to demand 4 for now. From what I and my father can incur, this demand means false polarisation "either you are with us or you are against us". Now allowing any grey area in between, MOA condemn themselves to associate with various romantic and idealistic groups that support the revolution for their own goals. It also means that unlike their previous encounter with la Legion near Malta (which was reported to me by our employees), the Legion will not be left aside when they will be trying to achieve their goals: you are either with them or against them in their perverted philosophy. And since la Legio is entrusted with ensuring stability and prosperity of Malta, I believe from their demand 1 it seems they are on the side of your targets, not allies. This polarisation of their views led them to conspire with the grave enemies of Malta - the Coalition. By even dealing with filthy communists who sabotaged "Hispania" in the first place they must be cursed till the end of their wretched pathetic lives. Nor only dealing with the Coalition, but with Coalition's lackeys, the IMG. For that I shall have the proof.

Let us now return to the initial question of their intentions. From what we can incur, they want to overthrow the legitimate National Council to replace it with whatever they have in their perverted minds. Since they are conspiring with the Coalition and stand against the use of the labour of detainees and cardamine, I would not even be surprised if they wanted to build some sort of "People's Republic". We do not even have to discuss how bad it would be for the prosperous population of Malta where most of the population is upper-class due to Cardamine trade. If communism can bring any form of equality, it is the equality in poverty and misery.

Now, as for the proofs:

MOA working with the Coalition

From this interaction you can see that MOA acted as escort to Coalition capital vessels in Omicron Tau, core system of la Nacion. I call that treason and this is enough to consider MOA being enemies of the state.

Encounter with MOA in Tau 37

This log proves by their own words that MOA are working together with the Coalition. Their threats to bring a big Coalition fleet into Maltese sovereign space is although laughable, yet proving their hostile intentions towards Malta. This oncversation also proves them being uneducated romantic revolutionaries with no vision of the future, as well as cowards to accept an honourable one-on-one duel versus nuestro amigo. From the logs near Malta yesterday I read that they have "proofs" that Cartel wants to overthrow the Council. Well, I believe they were referring to this very conversation. If National Council is losing its grip, Escudero familia indeed will be up for the challenge of going into politics as it has always been on democratic Malta: one political power succeeds another one. However, it is not what MOA refers to as intention to overthrow the National Council but rather readiness to step in if the political climate of Malta demands so. "Cuatroce" prospers under the rule of the National Council: we are cutting good profits while protected by the Law of Malta and strong diplomatic stance of the Council. Why would we even need to overthrow the Council if everything is so favourable to us? The MOA, unfortunately, stand not only against the Council of Malta, but against the whole Maltese way of life.

From what we also suspect, they own an unregistered modular facility in Tau 37 under the identificator of "Corsica Outer Rim". I personally witnessed Coalition transports supplying it, as well as MOA vessels requesting to dock with it. We are not 100% sure of the ownership of the base, hence no action has been taken yet. However, we reported thereon to the National Counsil that confirmed that no registration or payment had been ensured so that the base is to be demolished in any case. We are waiting with the enactment of this order to possibly obtain more intel on MOA and their "agenda".

Thank you for the information that you have provided. The MOA have contacted me as well, as it was expected. Their main claim for hostilities against the Cartel seems to be that they have been attacked first and that everything sense has been retaliation. I've attached whatever recordings they have provided me regarding that. Though I would like to hear your side of the story regarding the original spark of hostilities as well and any logs if possible would be of great help as well. What the "revolutionary" has provided seems quite detached from any context as it is. They were just as eager to win us on their side regarding their conflict with the National Council as well, though back then I dismissed them as all talk and no actions.

Señorita Valdez, it is great hearing from you again.

Indeed, I have heard of that incident yet personally was not present in the field. From what I have been told, MOA vessels approached Estremadura base and started asking questions as to how the Cartel was making money. The fact that aside from automatic harvesters we use manual labour of detainees as well as make money out of selling Cardamine (well, what a surprise for them, as we all hail from Malta) displeased them greatly. The honest answers of our employee and polite request to address any questions to our Marketing Division were met on dumb ear and the situation escalated rather quickly, especially since their ships did not leave the private area although requested to and did not let our trade vessel go. Truth be told, our employees were caught off guard by being shot by vessels under Maltese IFF, so some of our ships sustained damage that day. Since then, they engaged our trade convoys carrying Cardamine and assaulted our allies from the Golden Chrysanthemums. Now we no longer hesitate their tagged ships even under Maltese IFF. I hope you understand that these traitors deserve no less as they put under threat the lives of the fellow Maltese, as well as the whole way of life on Malta.
