Synth Foods, Incorporated
Your Food, Your Way

Public Security Bulletin, May 3rd, 826 AS

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen of Sirius. This is your Synth Foods, Inc. public security bulletin for the 3rd of May, 826 AS. As a reminder, this service is provided freely to all denizens of Sirius by the Security and Enforcement Division of Synth Foods, Incorporated. Our reporting will detail confirmed movements of elements dangerous to public well-being, our efforts to curtail them throughout Sirius, and our current safety rating for each of the public corridors.

The Republic of Liberty

The Republic of Liberty has seen a recent uptick in Lane Hacker and Rogue activity, which has thankfully been somewhat curtailed by the efforts of our top-of-the-line security vessels, including the SFS Harvester. A wing of rogue bombers were handily taken down by the Harvester while coming to the aid of a Navy effort in Hudson. Elsewhere in Texas, the Soylent Green managed to help drive off a Lane Hacker attack on a Navy capital vessel, managing to down one heavy bomber in the process.

Our current security rating is CAUTION. While ample protection is available, the expansive area of the Republic of Liberty means that police response may be too delayed to adequately defend your vessel. We recommend hiring escorts where possible.

The Kingdom of Bretonia and the Omegas

The Kingdom of Bretonia remains an active warzone, and as such we automatically caution any civilian traffic against using routes near active fighting, and to take extra precautions in securing your vessel prior to entry into the Kingdom. Synth Foods traffic within the Kingdom is limited, and as a result our picture of the security situation is on the whole unclear.

In Cambridge and the Omegas, however, our vessels have seen indications of a greater pirate presence, which has also made itself known in the Sigmas. These vessels have targeted numerous shipping firms, from Kruger to our own corporation, as well as unaffiliated civilians and the Bretonian Police Authority. Any information regarding their current location or activities may be suitable for a credit reward.

In total consideration, we thus issue a security rating of DANGER for both Bretonia due to the active war with the Kingdom of Gallia, and the Omegas for increased pirate activity and decreased escort presence.

The Empire of Kusari and the Sigmas

Due to the war with Rheinland, our traffic in the Empire of Kusari and the Sigmas is also quite limited, primarily to security escorts of unrelated civilian traffic. Our only incident of note is an altercation that arose in the system of Sigma-13, which, due to the perhaps political nature of its contents, we will divulge in its entirety.

After escorting the USI transport Fairweather into the Imperial system of Honshu, the narrowband tranceiver of the SFS vessel Soylent Green picked up an unidentified distress call coming from Sigma-13. Despite our commitment to neutrality in the conflict against Rheinland, Kusari, and the GMG, we are nevertheless charged to attend to these distress calls, not only as an obvious matter of humanitarian need, but also in support of treaties on humane spacefaring and the laws of warfare.

The Synth Foods security vessel arrived in Sigma-13 to discover that the source of the distress call was, in fact, a pair of GMG vessels and a lone freelancer, under attack by both Unioner vessels and common pirates. At first, our security vessel engaged the pirate Gunboat, which was in fact of Unioner make and model, and summarily removed it from the field. Those astute viewers might note that this gunboat belonged to the same pirates plaguing civilian shipping in the Omegas, and we are glad to have put such a significant dent in their operations.

Distress continued as the Unioner forces maintained their assault, despite being deprived of their pirate aid. As these vessels were known to be great dangers to civilian traffic as decreed by several House and non-House organizations, they were thus also summarily eliminated as threats to the common good and the people of both Rheinland and Kusari. Once the source of distress had been neutralized, the SFS Soylent Green continued on its patrol, ensuring the continued safety of the trade routes that feed Sirius.

We hope that this notice elucidates some of the dangers in navigating the Sigmas at this present time. We as such offer a security rating of CAUTION for the Empire Proper and DANGER for the Sigmas in specific.

The Federal Republic of Rheinland

The state of Rheinland's security is perhaps similarly precarious. Our security vessels spend time in Rheinland that is equaled only by our efforts in Liberty, and our time spent supporting the forces of Rheinland in their efforts to secure the lanes equally so.

In southern Rheinland, our security department has noted an increased uptick in Coalition activities, going so far as to directly and openly assault our security forces and the forces of the Buro der Marinenachrichtendienst. While we have mostly maintained security on the lanes departing our distribution centers on Stuttgart, we are working more closely with the BDM and other Rheinland organizations to ensure that this does not become a larger problem for civilian traffic. We have also noted a rise in Unioner, Corsair, and especially Hessian-related activities, all of which we are cooperating with the Bundestag to curtail.

In northern Rheinland, we have attended to the security of the lanes much more openly and successfully. Our own valiant Chief of Security managed to support Rheinwehr peacekeeping operations in Frankfurt quite effectively by tracking down and destroying a Red Hessian cruiser that wished to prey on the war-torn lanes. While black-box review is still ongoing, officials of the Rheinwehr and Buro thanked him for his service and support in such a manner.

We hope to continue this level of cooperation with the Rheinwehr, Buro, and Federal Polizei, and wish to see Rheinland's security return to its pre-war state. Regardless, at this time we are forced to issue a DANGER rating, both for the increased presence of dissident and unlawful groups and the continued war with the GMG and the Empire of Kusari.
