Communication to all personnel
CLASSIFICATION : CONFIDENTIEL DEFENSE
TACTICAL SITUATION : With a depleted rear echelon and maximum effort poured onto the frontlines, Gallia is more dependent than ever on its supply lines, going through the AuTauroute. Any severe blow on this vital corridor would have lasting repercussions on our efforts. Work is required to increase the safety of the AuTauroute and better prepare ourselves for any large scale attack on it. Marignan will address two concerns ; infrastructure reinforcement to increase Gallic footprint in the Taus, and counter-insurgency tactics against the many criminals and irregular forces in the area.
DESIRED FINAL OUTCOME : increased security and lowered enemy influence along the AuTauroute.
PRIORITY 1 : Reinforcement of our existing positions, establishment of new ones.
PRIORITY 2 : Sabotaging and sowing discord among the various groups that populate the Taus.
PRIORITY 3 : Improve relationships with local, reputable players. IMG and Kusari are prime targets.
LOCATION : Tau 23, Tau 29, Tau 31, Tau 37, Tau 53.
PREDICTED ENEMY FORCES : Maltese elements are frequent users of the AuTauroute to peddle their toxic wares. We also have to contend with the impoverished, underequipped but fanatical militants from the Crayter rogue nation. The curious and generally harmless Natio Octavarium should also be watched, as well as the Gaian bards and their fearsome poetry. On the Gallic side, Maquisards and Brigands are known to roam in the area, as well. Threat level is estimated to be medium.
REQUIRED ALLIED FORCES : We are now left without any battlegroup in the Taus. Gendarmerie units are present, as well as regular MRG elements, but little else. This illustrates the need for a stronger outpost, Cheronsee outpost being the most likely candidate at present.
TIME : no definitive time frame for the time being. First deadline for plans concerning Cheronsee : 3rd of August.
RULES OF ENGAGEMENT : The AuTauroute is Gallic space. As such, the rule of law prevails, and efforts will be limited to low intensity warfare, except in the case of a Conseillard counter-offensive or if the Maltese choose to employ large assets.
