His mother was an ex-Samura transport captain, he never seen his father, a Dragon that valiantly thrown his life in the wake of Nomad War...
Her mother was just fired from Samura with allegations of corporate theft and was on the run from authorities. She gave birth to Kai on the run and they had only one chance: Become Dragons themselves. She laid low, worked on Kyoto as a dockworker and hoped for the best.
Kai, on the other hand, was grown with propaganda, utmost discipline that defined Dragons and from very young ages, he has been trained, educated and fueled with hatred against Kusarian Goverment by the veterans, to prepare the next generation of Dragons. Childhood was rough at best and he did not have the luxuries or amenities a modern Kusarian would have, if he were on the more "lawful" side of affairs. Although the men and women on Kyoto kept the younglings motivated and kept their spirits high, it was nonetheless a rough, warrior's life.
By the time he reached age of 16, he was trained in martial arts, melee combat and basic spacecraft piloting. He became an "errand boy" until he was eligible to join the Fleet, running supplies between various Dragon and GC bases. Two years later, he got into the Fleet and received advanced training. Ranging from advanced fighter piloting to firearms handling and ground tactics.
As his training was completed, he was placed into 2nd Fleet. Commonly known as Reserves. Mainly patrolling Chugoku and Nagano, he got tired of simple patrols after a few years and wishes to join the Main Fleet.
