We are having a discussion in the faction channel and I would like to bring this suggestion here.

Give Laptev some kind of high value resource, like a mining field.
Since the jump hole doesnt allow large cargo ships, this would be perfect to make freighters more viable again.
It also gives people a reason to go there, since atm people are complaining that the system has nothing of value.

Freighter only mining for this system could be quite interesting. Perhaps give every ID a bonus on it, to make things more wild.

Unlawfuls rushing in there for ore of some kind sounds cool.

An absolutely fine idea. War of the Miners!

I'd personally love a pirate base in the system as a smuggling pit stop, maybe have it sell pirate related commodities from all over Sirius (for balanced prices of course), assuming the jumpholes allow freighters at any rate.
