Anomalous Containment and Termination
"Mortuus se manere debent"

Understand that what you are about to be granted clearance to is to be treated as code BLACK, and you are bound by all its associated protocols and obligations. As an assortment of oddballs that the Phantom cells have to offer, you've each been hand-picked for carrying out tasks that would drive the average man to suicide. Make no mistake, this is not an honor. You will not be serving a noble cause. Your life-spans have been dramatically shortened by merely accepting this assignment. And above all else, nobody will remember the sacrifices you make in the name of the Alliance's integrity, or on a greater scale - Liberty's.

Briefing:

"If you haven't already decided to bite a bullet after volunteering for this, good. We can get to work. The nature of this assignment is two-pronged and complimentary, and while only being required to do two self-explanatory tasks might seem like child's play for some of you, let's go over why that's wrong. Alberta has been designated as code BLACK by command, I wouldn't be surprised if some of you crap-for-brains haven't gone through what that means in your manuals. That's to be expected, so let me explain. Code BLACK is Alliance Command's code-word for stuff that goes beyond the ordinary. Usually involving a copious amount of purple, infection, spandex and extremely hostile alien organisms. You'd be right in assuming that henceforth we're going to be literal Xenos, in the sense that actual aliens will be on the receiving end of your weapons fire. Just so we're clear, we're talking about BSL-4 levels of risk here. So keep in mind that mistakes will lead to things, far, far worse than death.

Containment. Alberta[CTZ-1] is hostile territory, inhabited primarily by the Liberty Rogues and whatever other individuals who might be seeking refuge from Liberty's forces. Any ship entering the Athabasca[CTZ-1-1] field is to be turned around, or destroyed in the event that they do not comply. Any ship exiting the unstable jump anomaly[CTZ-S] is to be halted and inspected, subsequent action prescribed by next prong. The local Rogue presence is subject to Termination protocol in the interests of eliminating potential hosts. An infection cannot spread if there is nobody left in the area for it to spread to. All Phantom operatives undertaking this task are to report for three daily inspections, failure to comply will result in termination and trust me when I say that nobody will ever know that you died. A wing of no less than three operatives are to undertake constant reconnaissance of Athabasca and its associated exits through the Alberta-Ontario anomaly and gate, this recon group will be rotated across six-hour shifts to maintain 24/7 recon coverage of CTZ-1 and CTZ-1-1. Operatives that lose radio contact for longer than three-hundred seconds are to be terminated if relocated, that span of time is the risk window. If an Operative is relocated or establishes radio contact under sixty seconds, such a circumstance does not warrant any express action. One-twenty seconds will necessitate compulsory screening upon a return to Fort Ramsey[FR]. Two hundred seconds and beyond, up until the limit of the risk window warrants the detainment of the operative and their forceful return to FR.

Termination. Any ships or objects emerging from the anomaly leading to CTZ-S are to be destroyed, unless otherwise ordered by SQUAD-COM. Vessels squawking scrambled or otherwise unidentified IFFs are to be terminated WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTION. Alien entities are to be terminated WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTION. Entities acting in conjunction with unknowns or alien entities are to be terminated WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTION. Failure to sanitize CTZ-1 or CTZ-1-1 results in containment breach and an escalation of termination priorities for escapees. Containment breaches should be prevented, regardless of cost. Termination teams are to consist of no less than six operatives, unless necessary escalation has been ordered by SQUAD-COM to sanitize CTZ-1 and CTZ-1-1 with whatever assets are currently deployed. Otherwise, standard protocol is to evade hostile entities and hold position at system exits until reinforcements arrive. Clear? Dismissed."
