This thread will be pinned and used every time there is a rules update.
Server rules have been updated to reflect the current changes due to the Fire and Fortune Update:

ID Changes
  • Lots of ID changes have been introduced to various IDs revolving around ZoI changes. Please check your IDs for changes.

Rule Changes - Additions
  • 3.7- Attacking people in Transit / Limbo is not allowed - Added

Rule Changes - Removals
  • 5.7 - The use of Pulse weapons to instantly recharge powercores in a PvP situation. - Fixed

  • 5.8 - Firing missiles at cloaked targets is not allowed. The FLHook solution to this is currently inoperative so treat this as an exploit. - Fixed

These are subject to change at any time.

The following rule has been updated in regards to the new changes from the new patch:

Old:
4.1 - All bounties must be posted in a Bounty Office forum and have a minimum value of $1,000,000. Players must submit bounty claim within 7 days. Board owners must pay outstanding claims within 14 days of submission.

New:
4.1 - All bounties must be posted in a Bounty Office forum and have a minimum value of $10,000. Players must submit bounty claim within 7 days. Board owners must pay outstanding claims within 14 days of submission.


Edit: Another rules has been changed since the money value has change.

Server Rule - 3.5 - Characters of level 29 and below or ships using a Recruit ID may not be attacked unless they:

Attack first by draining the shield down to 50% or firing a cruise disruptor;
Are at the scene of a battle and refuse to leave when told to leave;
Take an active part in a roleplay interaction;
Possess a codename (Class 9) weapon; or
Attack a player base.





Is now removed.

Ships & Systems Classification Changes
  • Dresden and Tohoku moved to independent worlds.
  • Cologne moved to Rheinland.
  • Earhart added to Uncharted.

Important changes regarding Earhart:

Rule Changes - Additions
  • 2.8- All IDs can:
    - Have ZoI in Earhart.
    - Can pirate any NON ALLIED players for the following resources: Cerulite Crystals, Chirodebris, Cryo-Organisms and Organic Capacitors whilst in Uncharted Systems.

Remember to check IDs for ZoI changes.
Slight mixup in regards to the systems clarifications due to a slight miscommunication. They have now been updated as per the spoiler below.

Again in systems classification:

- Cologne (now Independent again) and Edinburgh (now Taus) removed from House Space.

The former appears to have been something of a team miscommunication, and was intended to remain part of the two-system border corridor between Rheinland and Gallia.
Edinburgh really never should have been house space. House control over the system has gone from marginal to non-existent.

The laws of the two houses have been appropriately edited as well.
In preparation for the SoonTM return of full Player Base functionality, Player Base rules have also been updated and polished. They're a lot shorter and cleaner, and besides the effects of the new 5.0 base mechanics, there aren't really any major changes. Some of the siege timing mechanics are different now though, so check those out.
